I’m Eddie Cano has been hopping this fall❤️🇮🇹

The dining room is buzzing, the bar is lively, and there’s a strong, steady energy ode to a pre-COvid era circa 2018.

New faces, familiar faces, and guests we haven’t seen in years finding their way back to our tables.

Last night, I had the pleasure of chatting at our bar with a fellow neighborhood restaurateur. A little laughter, a little commiseration, and a whole lot of mutual respect for what we do.

Because neighborhood restaurants do more than serve dinner. We anchor communities, become part of people’s lives, and help make a neighborhood feel like home. It’s not always easy, and those of us behind the scenes know that better than anyone. But we persevere because we believe in what we do.

And lately, you’ve been reminding us exactly why.

La vita è bella. Especially when the restaurant is full. 🥂

What an evening! 🍷🇮🇹 Brunello royalty in the house!

Extraordinary w**es, wonderful company, and a culinary team that absolutely knocked it out of the park! One of my favorite moments of the evening was seeing our chefs make a rare appearance in the dining room to receive the applause they so richly deserved. 👏
We were truly honored to welcome Santiago Marone Cinzano Santiago Marone Cinzano of Col d’Orcia to our little Italian nook of Washington, DC. An evening filled with great w**es, beautiful food, and the kind of Italian hospitality we love sharing with our guests.

We love hospitality. We just don’t love making you do math at the end of dinner! 🍷🇮🇹

Since May 2023, we’ve kept things simple at I’m Eddie Cano: a 20% hospitality charge with NO additional tipping expected. No tip line on your credit card slip. No suggested 22%, 25% or 30%. No awkward moment wondering whether you’ve tipped enough. Initiative 82 may have changed the economics of dining out in DC, but it hasn’t changed our love of hospitality.

Know before you go! We understand our approach isn’t for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine. We believe in being upfront so you can decide what works best for you.

We love what we do, we take care of our team, and our team takes care of you. That’s our idea of Italian hospitality.

Our Family Suppers were born out of a familiar dilemma: everyone’s hungry, you open the refrigerator, and there’s absolutely nothing to feed the family!

I used to solve that problem by ordering pizza for the kids. But lately, every time I turn around, there seems to be another fee here in DC. Takeout fees, packaging fees, service fees, and even requests for tips on orders I’m picking up myself!

We don’t believe in any of that at I’m Eddie Cano. No hidden takeout charges, no packaging charges, no surprises.

Our Family Suppers are designed to generously feed 3–4 people and always include garlic bread, pasta, salad, and your choice of protein or a hearty vegetarian alternative, like our Eggplant Parmesan. A complete Italian dinner without the cooking, cleanup, or extra charges.

So, if your refrigerator is looking a little bare tonight, let us take care of dinner!

And one last thing: Please order directly from us! You save money, and so do we. You’d be surprised how many people order through DoorDash only to pick up the food themselves, not realizing they’re paying a middleman for something they could have ordered directly.

Excellent food. Fair prices. No funny business. 🇮🇹
