Grammy Award nominee Uri Caine is a veteran of bands led by Philly Joe Jones,Hank Mobley,Johnny Coles,Mickey Roker,Odean Pope,Bootsie Barnes,Bobby Durham and Grover Washington. Since moving to New York in 1985,Caine has recorded 33 albums as a leader.Recent Cds include Space Kiss (2017) with the Lutoslawski Quartet (816 Music), Calibrated Thickness (2016)-816 Music) with his piano trio, and Callithump (Winter and Winter 2015)playing his solo piano compositions.He has recorded projects with his ensemble performing arrangements of Mahler, Wagner, Mozart, Verdi, Schumann and Bach’s Goldberg Variations. He also leads an acoustic trio that has made several recordings including Live at the Village Vanguard (Winter and Winter) as well as his electric Bedrock trio. He was nominated for a Grammy award for the Othello Syndrome (Winter and Winter) in 2009.

Recent compositions include Agent Orange(2017) written for the Brussels Philharmonic and 4 Wunderhorn Songs (2017) written for the SWF Orchestra. Caine composed The Passion of Octavius Catto for the Philadelphia Orchestra with gospel choir celebrating the life of murdered Philadelphia civil rights leader Octavius Catto and Hamsa for the Swedish Chamber Orchestra based on Bach’s 5th Brandenburg Concerto. Caine has also received commissions to compose music for the American Composers Orchestra, the Vienna Volksoper, the BBC concert orchestra,Concerto Koln, The Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Arditi Quartet and The Beaux Arts Trio among others.He was the Composer in Residence fro the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra for 3 years and has performed his version of the Diabelli Variations with orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra.Caine was the Director of The Venice Bienalle in 2003.

During the past several years Caine has worked in groups led by Don Byron, Dave Douglas, John Zorn, Arto Lindsay, Terry Gibbs and Buddy DeFranco, Sam Rivers, Barry Altschul, the Woody Herman band and the Master Musicians of Jajouka. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pew Foundation and the USA Artist Fellowships. He has performed at many festivals including the North Sea Jazz festival, the Monterey Jazz festival, the Montreal Jazz festival and the Newport Jazz festival as well as classical festivals like the Salzburg festival, the Munich Opera, Holland Festival, IRCAM and Great Performers at Lincoln Center.

The award winning jazz pianist Hyuna Park’s musical universe is deeply connected to the vibrant New York jazz tradition while embracing her Korean and classical roots. She is a winner of the International Women in Jazz (IWJ) and Jimmy Heath Awards. She has graced the stage with Grammy award-winners such as Linda Oh, Luis Bonilla, Michael Mossman and Vincent Herring, at the Dizzy Gillespie Auditorium, the United Nations, and Embassies and Cultural Centers throughout NYC. Hyuna's trio with bassist Myles Sloniker and drummer Peter Traunmueller has absorbed a variety of cross-cultural styles into their core jazz repertoire. Hyuna is a regular at many of the more prestigious jazz venues in New York City such as Smalls, Zinc bar, Iridium, Club Bonafide, The Metropolitan Room, and The Django.

The GRAMMY Award-winning artist out of New Orleans received international praise as both key player and producer for his collaborative work on The Window alongside multi-GRAMMY winner, vocalist-composer Cecile McLorin Salvant. As a solo leader, he has released Moments Preserved (Decca, 2018) and Aria (Impulse!, 2015) to critical acclaim, and he’s only getting started. Now based in New York, Fortner has earned recognition in multiple DownBeat Critics Poll categories, winning first place in Rising Star Piano and Rising Star Jazz Artist. Collaborations include Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Diane Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Nicholas Payton, and the late Roy Hargrove.

Pianist/Composer Arcoiris Sandoval is a Fulbright award recipient currently residing in New York City. With a graduate degree from the Manhattan School of Music, she has won 2013 and 2015 ASCAP young jazz composer awards in addition to being a semifinalist at in the Montreux Solo Jazz Piano competition in 2012. She participated in the Mary Lou Williams Festival, Betty Carter Jazz Ahead and the Metropole Orkest Arrangers Workshop directed by Vince Mendoza featuring Richard Bona. One of her arrangements was performed by the Metropole Orkest at the 2016 BBC Proms tribute to Quincy Jones. She has also performed at major festivals throughout the world including Umbria Jazz Festival, Winter Jazz Fest in NYC, the Telluride Jazz Festival

Born in Tokyo and matured musically in New York, YAYOI IKAWA is immersed in the broad spectrum of Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Classical and World music. House pianist in Harlem's Jazz at Shabazz, Yayoi is a veteran of countless collaborations with the most inventive artists of today, including Tyshawn Sorey, Reggie Workman, Michal Urbaniak, Lenny Pickett, Frank Lacy, Lonnie Plaxico, Salim Washington, and Daniel Bernard Roumain. Her film score work was presented at Lincoln Center and she has appeared at jazz festivals in Martinique, Japan, Italy, Haiti, France, Slovenia, Costa Rica and the U.S. Yayoi launched “The Bridge Project” to create musical dialogue between New York and Tokyo musicians, touring Central America through a sponsorship of U.S. Embassy. She received commissions from the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, the Modern Music Society of Tokyo, and sculpture David Baumflek. She is music director at First Baptist Church in Piscataway NJ, and on faculty at City College of New York.

Spike Wilner performed with or led bands in New York City at countlessjazz clubs including The Village Gate, The Angry Squire, Visiones, Augies, The West End Gate and The Village Corner. Spike also toured with The Artie Shaw Big Band, The Glen Miller Orchestra and Maynard Furgeson. Spike's own recordings include "A Blues of Many Colors", "Planet Jazz", and "Three To Go". Spike launched the record label SmallsLIVE focusing on great performances at Smalls Jazz Club. Spike’s own project, "Spike Wilner, Solo Piano: Live At Smalls", received a glowing review in The New York Times. Spike is a managing partner at Smalls and Mezzrow jazz clubs in Manhattan.

TORU DODO is an established New York artist, with credits including the renowned Kenny Garrett, Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, Louis Hayes, Ruth Brown, and Terumasa Hino, to name a few. Aside from his own trio, he works with notable vocalists Somi, Alicia Olatuja, Nicole Henry and Laurin Talese. The Tokyo native is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and his career has taken him to venues and festivals worldwide.

Dodo has released to five solo albums, Dodo and 116 West 238th St with Reuben Rogers on bass and John Lamkin on drums. Dodo features Joseph Lepore on bass and Rodney Green on drums. His fourth album, Do You Like Cappuccino? and latest album JAfro are on from Dodo's own do & do label.

Davis Whitfield is a recent graduate of the Berklee College of Music, where he received the Presidential Scholarship. Prior to attending Berklee, Davis directed and arranged for weekly Jazz Standard performances by the Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra. He appears at every major jazz venue in New York City, including Dizzy's Coca Cola, Smalls, the Jazz Standard, in addition to appearances throughout Europe. As the son of two musicians, Davis has been immersed in the musical arts his entire life.
