TESTIMONY TUESDAY 🙏🏾🎨✨
Sometimes the testimony is watching an idea that once lived in your head become bigger than anything you imagined.

D.E.I. IN COLOR: LIVE started with a vision: create a space where we could DOCUMENT our stories. EXPRESS what we carry. IGNITE what comes next. A space where art, identity, mental wellness, culture and community could exist together.

Then community got ahold of the vision❤️‍🔥

Watching Nico “NNIL” Pires take the concept and elevate it through his directorial debut, “NOT ABOUT ME,” alongside Groovy Baba + clirror reminded me why collaboration matters. What unfolded at became far more layered, powerful and beautiful than I could have imagined alone.

And THAT is the testimony. Sometimes God gives you the seed, but the blessing is in the people He sends to help it grow🌱

From film and spoken word to performance, conversation, visual art, entrepreneurship and our Community Canvas, this night became a living archive of DMV creativity.

🎬 Special congrats to Nico “NNIL” Pires on the debut of his original short art film “NOT ABOUT ME” alongside Groovy Baba + clirror, featuring HYENA + Bri Pippens. Seeing these stories, personalities, and perspectives documented on screen was a reminder of why preserving our creative history matters.
