Handmade Music Series

Handmade Music Series has been created to provide an all ages venue with a focus on fostering growth of our local music scene within the Chequamegon Bay Region. The facility we use as a venue is owned by The Washburn Meditation Center. It is an old church, and provides acoustics and a setting unlike any other in the area. We plan to have events about once a month, October through March.

With an ongoing sponsorship from our local recording studio, The Weight Room, we are provided with microphones and audio equipment to give both the musician and listener the most intimate and high quality experience available. Combined talents of local artists and business people help create our promotional material. Each show is paired with local sponsors to provide free snacks. In time, we hope to have an apprenticeship program to provide a grounds for individuals to learn about live sound, stage production, booking, and managing music events.

Funding is provided by local sponsors and from revenue generated by the events. We are working on bringing concessions to the events as well.
