We find animal friends all the time when we’re doing work outside on the farm. Here is an Eastern Box Turtle, which is pretty common land turtle in Virginia, but one that is currently in decline. They are awesome animals, can live to be over 50, and rarely travel more than 1.5 miles from their home. So chances are good I’ve run into this particular turtle before.

He probably shouldn’t be trying to burrow into the taproom though.
