‼ MEET THE TEAM! ‼ Bjorn Omodt is up next for our staff spotlight series.

Bjorn has worked at Oz Winery since June 2024. He grew up in rural Oregon, but moved to Kansas years ago for the peace and quiet that comes between tornado seasons. You can find him behind the bar at the winery, pouring glasses and serving customers. His favorite part about the job is interacting with guests.

He likes Turn Back because the cranberry tones make it perfect for autumn which he says is the undisputed best season. Bjorn says Tik-Tok is the best character in the highly underrated 1985 film adaptation of Return to Oz. He is also a character from the Oz books by L. Frank Baum and was considered to be one of the first robots to appear in modern literature.

When Bjorn isn’t working at Oz Winery, he continues to work as a freelance web developer.

‼ MEET THE TEAM! ‼ The first staff spotlight is Samantha Weishaar, Oz Winery’s newest employee.

Hi! I’m Samantha, the face behind Oz Winery social media. I started working at Oz Winery doing marketing & communications in February this year. I have 13+ years of experience with photography, design, communications, social media, marketing and event planning. I graduated from the college of Ag at Kansas State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications & Journalism.

You can catch me behind the camera at Oz Winery events and occasionally in store behind the bar. I keep the website updated and will start a blog for Oz Winery this summer. I love strategy and planning sessions with Kristen and I am so excited for the future of Oz Winery!

My husband and I enjoy spending time with our two kids, golfing and playing other sports, attending K-State athletic events, hunting and being outdoors.

The Oz character most like me is Dorothy because of my love for Kansas. We are both farm girls from Kansas who love dogs and I frequently wear my long hair in braids.
