WINE TASTING ON THE PATIO AT LA CAMPANIA
w/ Flavia Sassone of Viteoak Selections
THIS SATURDAY APRIL 25TH
12 pm to 3 pm
We’ve got our very good friend Flavia Sassone here this weekend, so I thought I would add a cool, casual tasting to explore Tuscany’s Sangiovese Grape (one of the biggest strengths of Signorina Flavia’s portfolio at ViteOak Selections). We will have the tasting on the Patio at La Campania to soak in the Spring Sun!!
Tuscany is one of Italy’s most important wine regions (second only to Piedmont in the number of DOCs). Some would rank Piedmont higher, but from a commercial standpoint, there is no comparison- Tuscany’s Brand recognition is much greater. Tuscan wine-making is dominated by its main red grape, the versatile and noble Sangiovese. It is the base of the region’s most outstanding wines- Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile (where it is called Prugnolo Gentile), Brunello di Montalcino (where it is called Sangiovese Grosso), and Morellino di Scansano. And don’t forget the long list of monovarietal Sangiovese Super-Tuscans!
The Event will be a casual, walk-around type event with complimentary antipasto to complement the wines.
Please reply to this post to RSVP- space is limited!
