As we move through this up and down month, not knowing if it will be sunny, raining or even hailing, we are happy to announce our monthly non-profit donation recipient. Earlier in the month, we all read about the very unfortunate situation that occurred on the Walla Walla High School campus, in regard to the FFA livestock. It is because of that; we have chosen the Wa-Hi FFA organization to donate $500 towards.
Future Farmers of America's mission makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA's vision is to grow the next generation of leaders who will change the world. Approximately 570 students at Wa-Hi are enrolled in agricultural classes and are members of the National FFA. Agricultural education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources systems.
Agriculture staff are currently working to replace the animals for upcoming student fair projects. Walla Walla FFA members rely on the Walla Walla Fair to earn money for their incredible hard work and efforts throughout the school year. Public House 124 is very happy to donate $500 towards the efforts of repairing and replacing the loss of their beloved livestock. If anyone else would like to help, Walla Walla Public Schools has established a page to help the program recover. Community members wishing to support the program can find donation details on the district's page or at
