As we move through this up and down month, not knowing if it will be sunny, raining or even hailing, we are happy to announce our monthly non-profit donation recipient. Earlier in the month, we all read about the very unfortunate situation that occurred on the Walla Walla High School campus, in regard to the FFA livestock. It is because of that; we have chosen the Wa-Hi FFA organization to donate $500 towards.

Future Farmers of America's mission makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA's vision is to grow the next generation of leaders who will change the world. Approximately 570 students at Wa-Hi are enrolled in agricultural classes and are members of the National FFA. Agricultural education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources systems.

Agriculture staff are currently working to replace the animals for upcoming student fair projects. Walla Walla FFA members rely on the Walla Walla Fair to earn money for their incredible hard work and efforts throughout the school year. Public House 124 is very happy to donate $500 towards the efforts of repairing and replacing the loss of their beloved livestock. If anyone else would like to help, Walla Walla Public Schools has established a page to help the program recover. Community members wishing to support the program can find donation details on the district's page or at

Spring is in full swing and so is everyone's anticipation for warmer weather! It's the middle of the month and Public House 124 is happy to announce our monthly non-profit donation recipient for April. This month we are excited to donate $500 to the United Way of the Blue Mountains.

The United Way of the Blue Mountains empowers donors, volunteers, advocates, and agencies to improve the Health, Education, and Financial Stability of every person in the Blue Mountain Region. United Way is responsive to emerging needs through a donor choice program and a special-projects funding program. Funding supports services to strengthen children, families and adults while promoting self-sufficiency, building healthy communities and meeting basic human needs. The United Way pass through 85 cents of every dollar raised to local human service agencies. Through their core values of Create, Act, Recruit, and Engage, the United Way of the Blue Mountains continues to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient region.

The United Way of the Blue Mountains is a huge asset to our local community. What they provide for our region will be sure to positively impact many of our diverse communities in our region.

Public House 124 would like to thank the United Way for all they provide our community and we hope this donation will help further their mission.

To say 2026 is off to a very fast start is an understatement. We already find ourselves 3/4's of the way through March! With that said, Public House 124 is excited to announce our non-profit recipient for our monthly $500 donation. We are pleased to choose Pocket Neighborhood Foundation Walla Walla.

Pocket Neighborhood Foundation Walla Walla is an organization looking to design and construct an innovative pocket neighborhood, allowing adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live together in a safe, welcoming environment. Pocket Neighborhood's mission is to create permanent housing options for adults with disabilities, to foster community building, social engagement and independence. They hope to achieve this mission with a 1.6-acre parcel in Walla Walla and there they will build 10-12 small homes and a community building. It will be the first Pocket Neighborhood for adults with disabilities in Walla Walla.

This is an awesome Foundation and PH 124 applauds them for creating such an outstanding opportunity for a valued part of our community. I encourage all to go to pocketneighborhoodww.org to learn more about their vision and ultimate goals.

On behalf of Public House 124, we wish all of you the best and a fantastic Spring! Cheers!
