My pet peeve! Proper leash string install. You want to keep it short - around 1 1/2". The string loop should not go past the edge of the board. Burn the ends of the nylon with a lighter. Use nylon cord, not stretch cord, not twine, not wire. Shoe laces work great in a pinch. Remember cut short and burn the ends. Thread the leash string in the leash cup as in the pics with the knot close to the cup and the loop ready for your surfboard leash. Fit your leash rail saver in the leash string loop. It's called a rail saver so your leash string does not pull through the rail or tail edge of your surfboard! This also minimizes the leash from swiveling around the tail area and then around your feet. If you have this issue check your leash string. Save yourself a $50 plus repair and ridicule from your repair bro!
