Wavelength has been incredibly fortunate to have such an awesome community embrace us over the years, so it's difficult to share bad news with people you enjoy being positive with. We try to keep our posts focused on the beer and science outreach, but this post is different.
We fought long and hard to make it through the pandemic shut down and we're incredibly proud of both our team and the customers who helped us battle through it. When the restrictions were finally lifted this past June, we hoped it would be like flipping a switch and we could get back to doing what we loved, full speed ahead. Despite our efforts, the financial realities of being shutdown for so long, combined with the failure to attain a tenable lease renewal from our landlord, the company is in peril and we have to act.
Barring a massive change to our situation, Wavelength will be closing operations in downtown Vista at the end of the month. We don't have a last day set as of this moment, but two more weeks of operation is likely. Our plan is to look for a new location that can give us what we need to expand our brewing operation and support our science outreach efforts. We don't know how long this will take, but everyone at Wavelength is looking forward to the time we can share pints under the stars together again.
