Good morning. It’s finally Friday.

Tom & I are done. Motsie’s Sea Grille is closed.

We have a couple of obligations to keep so we will be in the restaurant this weekend but we will not be open to the public.

It’s been a crazy ride with this one. Some good, some great, some bad, some crazy and some WTF! But it’s all part of our journey. So whether you’ve worked for us, joined us for a quick drink from time to time, sat at the bar 4 nights a week, had family gatherings or the occasional date night, we are thankful for you.

Many of you have gone out of your way to support us in one way or another. It’s not always about spending money in the restaurant and we know that. It’s about keeping the community and your neighbors uplifted and united. Thanks for doing that for us and Y’all better keep doing that for one another!!!

I’ll keep this page up for a while. Might need to check in with ya. The voicemail will still be available too if you need to call me for some reason. We’re not going far away, we just need a little rest.

We’re going to miss most of ya. 😜

Good morning. It’s Thursday.

I told y’all not to wait but ya did anyways. If we were not able to get to you last night, I’m sorry. But we can only do so much.

We are out of a bunch of food. I’m gonna go try to find some food for tonight. We’ll see what I can get my grubby little hands on.

Chances are real good that we’ll be going to a chalkboard menu. So, take a look at it when you come in.

We are not taking any reservations or to go orders. We are also not answering the phone. If you’d like to call and hear my lovely message, go ahead but that’s as close to someone as you’ll get by calling.

And I can guarantee you that we will not be open Saturday night. I know it was supposed to be our last night but that’s not gonna happen. Either tonight or tomorrow will be it. I’ll keep ya posted.

I’m gonna go get dressed and find something for us to serve to ya tonight.

This is it!!! Last few days of Motsie’s!

As of this post, we have everything on the menu but that will change as each shift goes on and day goes by. So, don’t wait till the end of the week to get your favorite dish!!!!!

We will not be taking any more reservations for this week. If you’ve already made one, you’re good. If not, just c’mon by and we’ll do our best.

Remember that we are short staffed still. Have some patience when you get here. Grab a seat and wait your turn. We’ll get to ya.

Not sure if we’re gonna make it to Saturday. I’ll try to post each day and let ya know what we’re running out of. Again, DO NOT WAIT !!

You’ve been warned.

Less than two weeks to go!!!!!!

Remember a few things please.
We are short staffed and I personally am short on patience. So just chill out when you get here. If you’re in a hurry or in a mood or are gonna be extra picky, please for the love of God, don’t come in here.
Our menu is at that adjustment phase. Some days we’ll have it, some days we won’t. We are trying to plan out these last shifts as best as we can. We can usually do a substitution (shrimp instead of oysters in the Florentine bowl) but sometimes it’s just not available or we just ran out a little before you got here.
I can’t guarantee desserts for next week. If you think you’re gonna want it, get it now and pick at it for a few days. He might not wanna make desserts next week. 🤷‍♀️
A lot of the art work has been spoken for, but there are a few pieces left. You’ll have to check with me if you’ve got your eye on something.
This Saturday we will be opening at 5pm. We are hosting a private party in the afternoon so we’ll open just a little later.

THREE WEEKS TO GO!!!!!

Got some flounder in today. Looks pretty good too. Still have the Mahi for now too if you’ve taken a liking to that. The rest of the menu is still available too.

And this is your last call for Coconut Cream Pie!!! We are limiting your purchase to 2 pieces at most so that it can be enjoyed by more of ya! Don’t be greedy. Still have the Key Lime & Cookie Pie too.

This is the Saturday that we will be closed for a private party, too. So don’t call me for a reservation for the 15th. Not gonna happen.

Our last day is Saturday October 29th. Don’t wait till then to come by. If we have a very busy week and run out of food before then, we will not be open. If we are open, we will not be taking reservations and it will be a buffet of Chef’s choice until the food runs out or Tom is just done cooking. No menus will be available. Don’t care who ya are or who your momma is or what you think of yourself, no menus.

There’s a rumor that I’m gonna be the bartender that night too 😳. That’ll be a s**t show to remember if we make it that far!!!!!

Happy Hump Day!!!

Only 5 weeks left and they’re gonna go quick. So dig out that gift card and bring it on in. Swing by for that martini that you haven’t had in a while. Those crab cakes and tuna tacos aren’t gonna be around forever! Desserts for this week are the Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie served warm with vanilla bean ice cream, key lime pie with raspberry sauce & whipped cream and he is currently whipping up Cappuccino Oreo Mousse. There’s a limited supply of those tasty little suckers and no we’re not holding them for ya. And no you can’t get 4 of them. And no he’s most likely not gonna make them again. But who knows……

We are having a celebrity guest appearance from Avery this Friday!!!! She worked with us for a while and has gone off into the world to do amazing things and we have missed her. But she is in town this weekend for a family celebration and has promised to come by on Friday to say hi!!!!!! So, if you’d like to check up on our beautiful young lady that’s when she’ll be here.

If you have family in Florida, like we do, we are sending all of our love, support & prayers to them during this storm. No bitching about the fact that summer is over! You don’t have two feet of standing water in your front yard and your roof is still attached and the wind hasn’t pushed your neighbors belongings into your siding!!!!

24 more shifts to go. We have one Saturday that we are closed for a private party & one Saturday with a delayed open time. Other than that, we’ll be open for ya. C’mon by.

Be good. If ya can’t manage that, stay home.

Ok kids. Six weeks ’till we close the doors!!!

Got a reload on most of our products today. Flounder is back in but we’re keeping the Mahi too ‘cuz some of y’all have been liking it better. Blueberry & Peach Fruit Crisp for this week and then there have been rumors of a Coconut Cream Pie after that 😳. He told me he was gonna make beef tip & black bean chili too today.

Some of the artwork has been sold so if you’re interested in a specific piece let me know. And no, it’s still not free!!

We will be closed this Saturday the 24th and next Tuesday the 27th.

I really got nothin’ else for ya. It’s already been a very trying day and I’m just hoping to keep it together so I can get thru the rest of the day.

A little extra PSA this week. Each day there are chores to do and each week there are chores to do on a specific day. Gotta clean the bathrooms everyday. Gotta water some plants every other day some only on Saturday. Gotta place a beer order on Thursday & a liquor order on Monday. And I have experienced and encountered many unexpected little treasures in my 30+ years in this industry but NEVER, and I mean NEVER, have I had the day that you get to find the go box with the used tacos in the restroom. 🤣🙄. Please take your stuff with you when you leave!! ALL of it!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!! And yea, I had a great weekend. Thanks ever so much for asking.

Down to 7 weeks now! Gonna go by quick.

Some folks have been asking about the art work and what I’m gonna do with it. Well, most of it was supplied by local artists and is for sale. Some of it is not ‘tho. I’m gonna take a couple of pieces so keep your little paws off them. But the rest we can talk about but don’t be stupid about it. I’m not selling the 5X3ft mermaid for $12.35 Carl nor am I selling the 3X2ft fireman for $7.85 Karen!!! Be serious people if you are truly interested.

The menu is still pretty much intact and the bar has been restocked for this week. I don’t anticipate any shortages until next month but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

We are a little extra short staffed this week so grab a dig dose of patience when you’re on your way in. If you’re in a hurry, c’mon in earlier than usual or wait till you have more time to chill out. We’re doing the best we can with what we’ve got. Trust me, I don’t have time to stop what I’m doing to listen to your ass complain!!!

Other than that, we’d love to see ya! It’s been quite a ride this time around. More has happened than what I could have ever imagined. But we got through it together and for that, I am very thankful for your support!!!!!

Well good afternoon!!! Been a long time since I’ve posted but I’ve got to tell ya some stuff.

I’ve been watching the calendar for quite some time but the countdown is nearing its end!! Our last official day will be Saturday, October 29. For those of you who don’t know, our lease is ending and Tom & I have chosen to not renew it. No, we are not moving to a new or old location and we are not starting another restaurant. So, stop asking!!! No, we don’t know what we’re going to do yet, so stop asking. No, we’re not moving, so stop asking. No, we will not change our minds, so stop asking.

As these next 8 weeks go on, we will make small changes and adjustments to the menu in anticipation of closing the restaurant. So don’t get all worked up if your favorite dessert isn’t available or we’ve modified some dinner items. Learn to roll with it!!

We will no longer sell any gift cards. And if you have a gift card hiding in your possession, dig that sucker out and use it!! When we’re done, we’re done! You’ve been warned. Don’t call me crying on October 30th thinking I’m gonna do something for ya, cuz I’m not.

It’s been a fun five years and we’ve been blessed to have shared it with y’all But it’s time to move on. So, c’mon by & let Tom cook for ya a few more times. Gimme a huge hug and let me say thank you to your face.

Been a while. So sorry. Apparently Facebook seems to think that we are temporarily closed. I’ve got enough issues without Facebook interfering!!! Whoever in head quarters did that can kiss my lily white one (and write me rent check while you’re at it!!!). Turds 💩💩💩💩💩

We are OPEN!! Tuesday thru Saturday 4-9pm. Yea, we have planned days off but I always let you know one way or the other.

So, Facebook, let me take care of my own page!!!!! Keep out of it!! 🤬🤬🤬
