Thursday takeout is a South African dish Bobotie (ba-bo-tea) with Yellow Rice (turmeric provides color). Think meatloaf with curry and a savory egg custard topping. We have served this dish in the restaurant in the past. Pair with a South African wine, a Cinsault (sin-saw) red blend by Secateurs.

Slow Cooker Savory Pork Ragù
Our slow cooker meal this week is an Italian pork Ragù to be served over hot noodles. Your meal kit contains everything needed to provide you with a superb country style Italian meal. We pair this meal with Line 39 Red Blend, a proprietary blend offering concentrated aromas of blackberry jam, ripe raspberries, Mocha and warm toasted oak with a plum, dark chocolate, and vanilla rich and structured palate culminating in a lingering spicy finish. We think you will enjoy this meal and possibly have leftovers for later. Serves 4.

Pick up your kit Wednesday between 5:00 and 6:00. Join the crew on the porch for a Happy Hour libation. Start your meal Thursday morning as you head out to work. When you get back home complete the finishing touches and plate your delicious meal.

Throw back Thursday is different this time.
We are cooking up pots of our most requested soups. Cabbage Roll, Cheeseburger, Potato, and of course Creamy Tomato Basil. By the cup or the quart.
Grilled cheese to go with the soup. Classic and couple of other favs plus a new one 🙂
And delicious pie!! Like Crustless Cranberry.
Join us starting 5:00 Thursday. Kitchen closes at 7:30.

We are not open because of hot water issues. The earliest the things needed will arrive is Friday. Then some minor building mods will need to occur before we have reliable hot water. We will update as we progress.

Thursday Slow Cooker Meal Korean Lettuce Wraps
Our Thursday slow cooker pickup meal prepares Korean Lettuce Wraps. Pork shoulder is cooked in a ginger sesame seasoned broth until tender. Then served with rice on lettuce leaves with a seasoning paste modeled after Korean ssamjang--a concentrated, salty, slightly spicy concoction - using miso and sriracha. Then topped with pickled veggies. A flavorful meal with lots of interaction. Our wine pairing is an interesting California red blend of Malbec, Zinfandel and Petit Verdot with ripe plum, coffee, black cherry and chocolate flavors and nice tannins. We have a limited quantity of this wine, though it matches are normal order quantity.

Reservations by 5:00 Tuesday. Pick up your meal kit between 5 and 6 Wednesday evening. Socialize with the “crew” at pickup. We Zoom at 6:00 Thursday. Text, email or FB message your order.

Throwback Thursday 😁

We are almost dry after our Porchfest adventure Saturday. Was fun seeing so many of you at this super event. But now it’s time to prepare Martins delicious sandwiches.

Martins' classic sandwiches and sides will be available Thursday evening, along with a few extras.Thursday one of our most popular sandwiches Turkey Motz will be available. A creamy pesto aioli on Focaccia with Turkey breast and red tomatoes. Also available is our take on the Cubano with tangy Mojo sauced pork, dill pickles, ham, and Swiss on a house baked Cuban roll. The Muffalini, a riff on the muffuletta, is on the menu Thursday too. A vegetarian wrap is available if you prefer meatless fare. Greek Pasta Salad is on the sides list. Drop by, have a cold drink, connect with old friends, and enjoy delicious memories.Bar opens at 5:00. Kitchen opens at 5:30 and closes at 7:00.

Cuban not your sandwich; our Muffalini, a riff on the muffuletta, and Turkey Motz are also on the menu Thursday.

Take Out Thursday - Roasted Chicken.

If you missed the Wiesn Hendl we offered for Oktoberfest, here's your do over.
Our takeout meal for Thursday 20 October is a leg quarter roasted with a garlic-thyme butter basting sauce, rice pilaf, and roasted butternut squash. Our wine pairing is Autoritas Merlot an easy drinking soft red.

Reserve by 5:00 Tuesday. Pickup between 5:00 and 6:00 Thursday.

We are not open Thursday (Oct 13) as is normal. We are taking off for the United Way event Supper on the Sip. Hope you are going and have lots of fun strolling and tasting while supporting this great community organization.

Next Thursday we are planning a delicious takeout.
