Now that I’ve had a few days to process everything (and our adventure being stranded in Covington worked itself out), I’m still overwhelmed by the turnout and support we received Friday night.
I put so much time, effort and heart into planning this event because I wanted it to be something truly special—something that honored Brenda and reflected the fun, laughter and love she brought into so many lives. Just as importantly, I wanted to make it special for my best friend, Tonya. I wanted her to see how deeply her mom was loved and to feel surrounded by the support of everyone who came to celebrate her.
Seeing so many people come together made every stressful moment and late night completely worth it.
I also can’t thank Elliott Booe enough. He spent hours upon hours of his time helping me plan, talking through ideas, listening to me complain and putting his own heart into making the evening meaningful—even though he never had the opportunity to meet Brenda. That meant more to me than I can adequately express.
Elliott & the Impromptus were beyond amazing. They didn’t simply perform one song after another—they entertained the entire crowd and made everyone feel like part of the show. So many people personally thanked me and told me how much they enjoyed the guys, and I couldn’t agree more. They helped create exactly the kind of night I had hoped for: one filled with great music, laughter and people enjoying themselves together.

A special thank you to Maddie Cuneo, Adam Spears, Mark & Barb McNeelan and my bartenders who handled a wild night. Whether you donated, worked behind the scenes, bought a ticket, or simply showed up to support us—you were part of something incredibly meaningful.
It was a beautiful turnout for a woman who meant so much to myself and so many. I hope we made you proud, Brenda 💙
