The surest sign of summer? A busy bar at 11pm. Itā€™s the best. Friday was fun! Weekend vibes are always unique, with a wonderful mix of new faces, out of towners and of course, the girls. I get so disappointed when Givebacks get bad weather... especially when a group is made up of such wonderful people, who have already endured enough storms. Iā€™m struggling to adequately articulate, how impressed I was by Gio's Garden. The kindness + appreciation for being in our space, openness of hard conversations and generousity of handmade freebies - was so incredibly meaningful. THIS is why our Giveback Program exists. I was absolutely touched by my chat with Hilary, who lost her son Colin at age 12. He wouldā€™ve graduated this past weekend, like my son did. Nothing worse, than losing a child. When you spend time with people who understand deep grief... you feel connected, seen and understood. It wasnā€™t a huge night, sales wise, but it was definitely something special. And as Hilary and I wrapped up, the sun (of course šŸ˜‡) appeared. Wish we couldā€™ve quadrupled this total for you guys... but it was a wonderful night, all the same, and an absolute honor to have you. $344.97 is coming back! Keep up the amazing work!!! šŸ¤

Crazy to think we're approaching the halfway point of the year?!? šŸ¤Æ As we head into our summer season, we just printed some fresh, yet to be spilled on, menus... and I wanted to alert you to a couple, minimal, price increases. We continue to offer delish juice, at very competitive prices. And we also continue to absorb all credit card fees. With that said, we are upping Old Fashioned's, Pretzels and Small + Tasting Plates, $1 each. That's it, 4 items, a buck per. Nothing major, probably not even noticeable, but I believe in transparency - always. An $8 fantastic + full fashy is still a great dealā€¦ as is everything else, especially the cheese! I don't tout a lot of sales numbers or records - but 10 years in, we're still providing a fun night out, with an average sale of $27.94. We've always hung our hat on volume over big sales, and that'll never change! ā¤ļø

Toot + Kate take on graduation! A few years ago, my daughter had a party at the shop, filled with flowersā€¦ last night, my son had a party in a shed, filled with tacos. Variety is the spice of life! šŸ˜† The one constant between the two? The wonderful community of friends weā€™ve built since moving to Verona + opening TKs. So many customers that became great friendsā€¦ and so many longtime friends, that have become customers. I am beyond grateful. Speaking of which, how lucky is my graduate to have childhood friends turn into young adult brotherhood? Iā€™ve never seen such an incredible bondā€¦ with some pretty wonderful moms, to boot.
