We started with 8 Teams. 7 MVPs were voted for. 6 players per team unified by the same goal. 5 starters to get things rolling. 4 months of action leading up to this moment. 3 matches on the final day to seal the deal. 2 teams battling it out for pride, for glory, for money, for a banner, for Palmer-Byrd, and 1 Team to win it All!!!

The journey to this point was nerve racking and fun. All these players coming together with a goal in mind. And at the same time built new channels of friendship.
This Finals was more intense than the ones before it. Day 1 had so many close matches. After 4 sets, both teams were tied at 2 a peice. Ashlee Trinci starting the winning train with her 1st 2 matches. Then after 6 racks in the 5th they were tied at 3 racks each. Both teams were down a starter on Day 1 ensuring both alternates Sara Lancey and Christal Royea (2024 PBC Finals MVP) were getting table time. With nerves creeping in and the build up of the moment, it would be who could stay in the moment longer. One key player in those last 2 sets.... Michelle Brotons. She would win all 3 matches that day and convince the other team, that she was the 2026 Palmer Byrd Cup Dragon Billiards Instruction MVP of the Finals!!!
Royal Precision would loose the 1st two sets and not lose another one after that. Taking the next 4 sets, they went into Day 2 with a two set lead. Roseann Daw (Semifinals MVP) led the way with a win in Singles 9 Ball. She stayed on the table to team up with Christine Pross back with her team after missing Day 1. They went on to quickly climb to the top of the hill. Bring up Captian Rachel Lang in Singles 8 Ball vs her best friend and recently inducted New England Pool And Billiards Hall of Famer Erica Ricka Testa. This was a match Rachel thought wouldn't happen. After being down 2-1 in the set, Rachel bared down to win the next 4 racks finalizing her team as Champions!!!
IMpeccables Captain Jane Imm put together an incredible team and roster with Becca Sue Ellis (Semifinals Rack City Bangor Maine MVP) Jozy Vienneau Deborah Ellis Wyman (not able to make it to the finals) Christal Royea, Erica Testa. They will be back!!
Ladies, so many of you showed interest and want to be in the Palmer Byrd Cup. Get out there and play tournaments where these girls are playing. Get seen. More importantly, get your game seen. Even if you dont think you're good enough right now, get out there. You'll get better and they'll see it. Follow your local pool room and pool rooms around your area for events when they get announced. Sign up and go play. Believe in yourself and it will help move you in to contention for the next Palmer Byrd Cup!!
