A little update about our patio ☘️
After years of great memories, our outdoor patio will be coming down September 28.
This isn’t the timeline we expected. While the City’s current deadline for temporary parklets is January 2027, we’ve been directed to remove ours early because of upcoming construction adjacent to our location. The removal will also be at our expense.
As a reminder, the city owns the street and at the end of the day, controls the public right of way. We understand and respect their authority over the space. As with any investment, it comes with risk. But it was fun while it lasted! We know that changes sometimes require businesses to adapt — so that’s what we’ll do.
We love Downtown Ventura. We’ve been part of this community for over 20 years, and we’re not going anywhere. We want to see downtown thrive. We’d love to see the street open, energy flowing and easy accessibility for all of the community to enjoy all that downtown has to offer.
So before the patio comes down, let’s give it a proper Dargans send-off 🍻
