We wanted to share an update on how everyone’s favorite Myakka River cat, Snookie, is doing post closure. In one sentence: living like a QUEEN 👑 A true rags to riches story if there ever was one ❤️

One of our amazing servers, Katie, took Snookie home when Snook Haven closed in April. Snookie took no time at all making herself at home. Katie’s daughter, Mariah, has formed quite a special bond with Snookie, and the two have become inseperable.

Snookie loves sleeping on pillows, never leaving Mariah’s side when she is home. They snuggle all day and Snookie acts as if she is Mariah’s “protector“, so you can’t fuss at Mariah at all or Snookie will get in between you and look at you like you’re crazy 🤪

We love you, Snookie! Congratulations on finding your forever home 🐈‍⬛ 💜

As of May 1st, 2025, Snook Haven is CLOSED for construction and renovations. Sarasota County's extensive project will renovate the establishment and its surrounding park.

Again, thank you to our incredible guests, family and team - we love you all! We hope you cherish your memories of the original, historic and iconic Snook Haven, plus our authentic good ole' Florida charm. Stay tuned for future updates.

It's here - our final day of operations before we close for Sarasota County's construction and renovations has arrived. To all our incredible Snook Haven guests, family and top-notch team, we love you! Thank you for your support, dedication and loyalty over the years. 🫶

We're open regular hours today (Wednesday, April 30th). We're offering a limited menu. Please note that menu items will be available as supplies last. Stay tuned for more photos and videos as we all come together one last time at the original, historic and iconic Snook Haven! 🐊
