FERAL GEN-X KID CHECKLIST
Before seatbelts were fashionable and parental supervision was more of a rumor than a policy… some of us were basically raised by vibes, hose water, and whatever was on TV after 10pm.
Check the ones that apply:
☐ Watched R-rated movies as a kid because nobody stopped you
☐ Explored an abandoned house, job site, or random patch of woods just because it existed
☐ Had a BB gun, fireworks, or something equally questionable with zero adult supervision
☐ Built a fort or treehouse out of scrap wood and nails that would fail every safety code today
☐ Came home to an empty house with a key on a shoelace and a note that said “Food in fridge”
☐ Learned to cook because nobody else was home (ramen, grilled cheese, survival cuisine)
☐ Have at least one scar you don’t remember getting
☐ Pulled classic neighborhood pranks and called it childhood
☐ Walked to the store alone and bought something for an adult with a handwritten note
☐ Found something in the woods you definitely weren’t supposed to find
