I haven't been active with posts on this account in quite some time. It's a good time to say Hi and give an update. I want to give a holler to all my customers, friends, followers, all the kindred souls. I appreciate you!
In 2022, I turned 50 and had two severe injuries due to work. I am a full time holistic health practitioner ( 24 years now and going! ) Since then, I have been challenged with my physical abilities regarding lifting heavy things, working out, and doing many things that were an important part of my day to day routine or part of business responsibilities. Making the shrubs / elixirs are a lot of physical work and heavy lifting involved. I have been doing less of that and focusing more on apothecary wellness products like botanical tea and tinctures.
I used to do Artisan markets throughout the year, and that was also put to a halt in 2022. If you are an Artisan you know how much physical lifting the markets require between setting up and breaking down. It's no small feat for a one person, woman owned & operated business.
I don't foresee being a vendor at any markets this summer, but maybe I will be ready in the fall. We shall see! In the meantime, the cauldronbeverage.com website is always there for product sales.
I am in a much better place now, although the healing process isn't always as fast as we want, especially when dealing with soft tissue muscle tears and herniated discs. I continue to stay dedicated to my path as a holistic practitioner providing massage therapy, Reiki healing and other holistic therapies to my clients. I love what I do, and have had to change many things to create a healthier work/ life balance such as: focusing on a lighter workload, carefully curating my environments, and making extra time for my self care routine. I also quit drinking alcohol and I feel great. Travelling has been very helpful.
Healing from an injury or not, we are all in a universal state of healing at this time in 2024. Current times can make us exhausted, sad, depressed, mad, drained and feeling helpless. Being an empath, the world has become a lot to process. I do think we are lucky to be alive during a time of massive change and opportunity for great shifts in communities, policies and organization. There is no excuse for so much greed, child slavery, genocide, destruction of Gaza, environmental neglect, the list goes on. My heart cries daily for our planet, innocent life and the global suffering that is inexcusable. The way we choose to contribute to our communities on a local level is really so important. We can't change the world alone, but we can always help locally as an individual. That is a motivational blessing and a strength. It is something we are all gifted with the power to do. Always. No one can ever take that away from us.
Unforeseen challenges and life's hurdles may change where I prioritize my energies, but I promise you one thing. I promise to always be true to committing myself to helping and healing my community through providing holistic therapy services, creating healthy delicious wellness products, or empowering women through nonprofit movements. I'm proud of all I have done thus far at 51 years of age and I aim to continue this path for the highest good of all, while not forgetting to prioritize my own health and wellness! Most importantly, holding space for ourselves and others to heal, to feel, to be alone or unite together with compassion and strength for choosing what is right.
I didn't intend to go on a rant. I wanted give an update of my career, my projects, my creations that effect Cauldron. It would be selfish of me to not address more important issues at hand. Right now, the well being, health and safety of all Humanity is a concern. We know what we need to do, together.
Love,
April ❤️
