We want to take a moment to appreciate our wonderful owners and the legacy behind Dinucci’s.
We have a big announcement and event coming soon, and we are truly honored to share it with you. We’ll be announcing more June 1st,
along with an interactive experience to learn more — but first, we have to thank the man who started it all: Gene Wagner.
Gene purchased Dinucci’s in 1968 alongside his iconic wife, Betty. Together with their daughters, Jeanne and Dolores, they continued the foundation from The Dinuccis Family of the rustic, old-fashioned Italian restaurant so many of you know and love today.
Jeanne carried on her family’s legacy by learning every part of the business — bartending, hosting, cooking, and everything in between. She later continued that legacy with her husband, Ricky, who has cooked side by side with her starting just 40 years ago, both helping perfect the iconic family recipes.
Today, Jeanne oversees the operation with Ricky and he still comes in daily to cook the secret recipes, help the cooks prep, and step in wherever he’s needed. Their daughter, Geena, now helps oversee the front of house alongside them, bringing in seasonal craft cocktails, new menu items, and sharing Dinucci’s story through social media.
This iconic duo has truly grown Dinucci’s while continuing Gene’s tradition — honoring the history of the building, the town, and our community, while teaching the next generation the importance of keeping things fresh without forgetting where it all began.
