🥃Whiskey Wednesday🥃

This week we’re raising a glass to The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year, a Speyside single malt that showcases the art of patience and craftsmanship.

The journey begins with traditional copper pot distillation and 12 years of maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, where the whisky develops notes of sweet vanilla and honey. It’s then transferred to European oak sherry casks, adding layers of dried fruit, warm spice, and rich complexity—a process that gives DoubleWood its name.

On the palate, expect a smooth balance of honeyed sweetness, toasted oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, and hints of raisin, followed by a long, warming finish with touches of sherry and spice.

A whisky that perfectly demonstrates how wood, time, and tradition shape every sip.

A historic building. A new chapter.

This week, our signage was installed, and for the first time, O’Doyle’s Whiskey Bar is officially on the front of the building. Seeing our owner, Ron, standing next to that sign is a reminder of how far this project has come—and how much care is going into bringing this space back to life.

We can’t wait to open our doors and share it with Valdosta.
