For those that have tried to make it out to the Pub lately…. We know how difficult it is with all the road work/ construction in front of our bar. We have reached out to the City of Des Moines, the City of Urbandale and The City of Windsor Heights, as well as the Department of Transportation, and the people that are in charge of the project at Des Moines Waterworks. We have made a formal request that they allow us to make a turn lane into our parking lot.
We were met with a resounding NO… !!…absolutely not, the project is going to be ongoing throughout the summer, possibly into October, so it’s a huge inconvenience for us and everybody that enjoys coming out to Kathy’s, it’s something that we’re gonna have to live with….Unfortunately. Thanks to everybody braving the mess to support the bar.

Everyone always wants to know our recipe for our Corned Beef and Cabbage…well we certainly will never tell, however we do use some pretty special ingredients.
