SHOUT OUT TO DJ HEAVY D.

Last night was a damn good karaoke night at The District.

We make the posts. We push the events. We talk about the stage, the drinks, the energy, and the crowd.

But DJ Heavy D is the guy standing there every Saturday night actually making it happen.

Running the room.
Keeping people moving.
Getting people up on stage.
Turning it up when the night needs it.
Doing the work most people do not see.

So we want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who came out, sang, laughed, hung out, and made it a good night.

And thank you to DJ Heavy D for showing up every Saturday and helping make karaoke at The District something different.

What a great day at The District Event Center. 🇺🇸🏍️
A huge thank you to the Regulators Motorcycle Association for choosing The District to host their Run for a Reason yesterday.
And an even bigger thank you to everyone who showed up, rode, donated, and supported Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.). This is exactly what it’s about — good people coming together for an incredible cause and making a difference.
We were proud to be a small part of it. Here are a few photos from the day. ❤️

🇺🇸 I REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW TO PUT TONIGHT INTO WORDS. 🇺🇸
I left The District tonight completely overwhelmed — and the night was still going.
We set out to do something special for 9/11. To remember. To honor our veterans and first responders. To raise some money for some great people.
What happened tonight was so much bigger than we ever imagined.
The turnout. The generosity. The people who stepped up to help. The VFW. Mission K9 Warrior. The Color Guard. The auction. The flags. Big Guns absolutely ROCKING the place.
And then, because apparently tonight wasn’t unbelievable enough...
Mr. Bruce Hall showed up.
I really don't have the words for that one.
To have someone with his history walk into our little place in Urbana, Illinois and be part of this night was something we never expected and will never forget.
Thank you, Mr. Hall. And thank you Big Guns for making an already incredible night even more unforgettable. 🤘
But what humbled us the most wasn't one person or one moment.
It was ALL OF YOU.
Twenty-five years after 9/11, tonight proved that people can still come together. We can still put everything else aside, stand next to one another, help people we've never met, honor those who served, raise our flag and remember what matters.
There are so many people we need to thank that I'm afraid to start naming everyone tonight because I don't want to leave a single person out.
Tomorrow we'll tell the whole story.
Tonight, I just want to say:
THANK YOU.
Mr. 120 and The Demon don't get left speechless very often.
Tonight, you did it.
This wasn't The District doing something for the community.
TONIGHT WAS THE COMMUNITY. 🇺🇸
RAISE THE FLAG. RAISE A GLASS. NEVER FORGET.
