Serenity House Tea Society & Shoppe Welcome to Serenity House Tea Many thanks to all the people who have stayed in touch with us over th There are several different plants of tea. And, yes it is.

Our goal is to provide our customers with information about tea and the many uses for tea. To learn not just where it comes from and how to brew, but about the healthy properties found in different teas. There are at last reading over 3,000 flavors of tea globally. All of this is just a small fragment of information to share. We need to know what we drink and what is does for our body, and also that water is best on it's own. We can and should drink tea and water, that can take us through

Rooibos is one of my favorite teas, from South Africa, no caffeine, no fructose, no corn syrup just a beautiful cup of tea. Any flavor you wish to have the tea will enhance very nicely. The best ice cream I have ever made comes from

Teas, Spices, Herbs, Florals have been blended to make a variety of flavors from different locations around the globe. Once you start to learn the base flavor, you can begin to create a flavor you might like at home. We are hoping to add segments on how to incorporate tea into your daily life, your home (aromas), and in cooking, baking, marinating. Plus my very favorite ice cream. I learned in Grenada, the Spice Island how to make Cinnamon, Ginger and Nutmeg Ice Cream each it's own flavor. If you have not been to Grenada, when it is safe to travel, take a journey. The food is right there before your eyes. A 40 foot tall avocado tree, giant bannanas, nutmeg you pick off the bush, and loofahs you can reach up and pull down. Dive into a deep blue/black ocean or swim in the clear, crystal light turquoise water with fish eating out of your hand. Chase a turtle and realize you have to go back for air. An island to love from the chocolate at the Grenada Chocolate Store filled of course with spices, to dinner with fresh caught sea food. A night scuba dive. All enchanting and you never want to leave. I than learned how to make an ice cream sandwich. Not as simple as it sounds. The ice cream though in a freezer needs to be a wee bit soft - the trick for me, a drop of brandy and cherries. This will keep the ice cream at the correct temperature. We will share the love stories about tea with you - they do exist. The reason two people meet and build a tea garden. Why and how some teas were created a magical moment for the tea world. Our "Best Flavor" pick by customers was an error, am oops in the kitchen. The most favored tea globally was a very intentional creation of blending for a specific reason. This involved two Countries, Prime Ministers and a special gift sent to create this tea.. A person, a very well known gifted High Priest, with passion for the Tea's real flavor. The story behind many tea's will make you wonder - could this be true? Unique and some serendipitous. We carry loose leaf teas: Orthodox teas, black, green, white, Rooibos, chai, chocolate, fruit infusions and herbal and wellness. We also carry salts and spices, books, aromatherapy oils, tea accessories and bar ware. We search the world for the highest grade tea available so that you don’t have to. Our teas come from India, China, South America, South Africa, and other locations. We believe that what we put in our bodies, as well as what we put on our bodies, is sacred, and should be free of toxins. This is why many of our teas are Organic, and Fair Trade Certified.

Hi all Over the last few months I have given a lot of thought to the Tea Shoppe and the food we eat. Basic food that now is sometimes not available and sometimes this might be an opportunity. Bread is the first item that came to mind as the shelves here were empty one week. The Supermarket has 3 areas for bread. Ordinary shelf bread , the place you find white to wheat to raisin, rye etc. Wrapped in plastic The second the bakery. Here frozen ,1/2 frozen arrives and is "baked fresh" and final speciality bread. Flat, naan, roll ups etc. The shelf bread is where my questions were sparked. After all, tea sandwiches are skinny white bread with butter and cucumber. This bread is in a package. This bread is baked at x and transported to a station or shipped direct to your local Supermarket. This takes approx 12 days from baking Yet it does not get mold. Next it arrives and is out on shelf. Old bread comes forward, new behind. First in, first out. Simple orders. You purchase and bring home for 2 weeks to eat? No mold. I started to wonder how this is possible? If anyone knows please let me know. I make bread and we eat within a day or refrigerate for a few days or freeze. Biscuits homemade do not last long. The stores "industrial" bread seems to last forever ...
