Anticoli Specialty Foods

Anticoli Specialty Foods Since its opening in 1992, Troy and Miami County's landmark restaurant continues to garner praise as one of the finest restaurants in the Miami Valley. Enjoy.

Capturing many "best of" awards along the way, La Piazza continues to remain focused on the three areas most important to a quality dining experience…. Food, Service, and Style. La Piazza was created by Michael and Leo Anticoli, members of the longest continually operating restaurant family in the Miami Valley. From the beginning, the focus of the operation has been to continually produce high qua

lity food using the best ingredients available. This approach means that ingredient standards are never compromised and production methods are never side stepped. Under the daily direction of Michael Anticoli, these principles remain front and center in continuing to provide high end dining in a casual and relaxed manner perfect for all occasions

La Piazza, Italian for "The Square", is the ideal setting to deliver the Italian dining experience in the transformed 1800's building that sits on the fountain square in the heart of Troy's beautiful downtown. High quality food using the best ingredients available, excellent service, and the personal family touch that comes from over 77 years in the business continues to be La Piazza's recipe for success.

Day 12 - “House Filet Mignon”!

The perfect finishing touch to your perfect steak is brought to you by…. House Dressing of course! This version is done in a cast iron skillet on the stove top but the finishing touch is the same when grilling outside.

• 1 Filet Mignon (this one is fresh
from DLM) 😋
• 1 Tbsp House Dressing
• 2 Tbsp Butter
• Salt/Pepper

Allow filet to come to room temperature before beginning. Season well with salt and pepper on all sides.

In a HOT cast iron skillet, place steak and allow to sear for 5-6 minutes before turning. Sear on other side until internal temperature is just below your preference. For medium, this was cooked to 130 prior to adding butter to skillet.

Add butter and baste repeatedly by spoon with melted butter for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Remove from skillet and brush with House Dressing as the steak rests before serving.

Enjoy!

✨NOTE: This filet was cooked
entirely on the stove top… no
oven required. For larger or
alternative cuts, use the oven
as needed and finish with butter
and dressing prior to finishing.
