THE UR Center for Culinary Arts is a program of the University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies. It offers Year round courses in a variety of styles and techniques of cooking and baking. We offer Cooking Classes and Baking Classes including Cooking Classes for Children. We offer a variety of Culinary Tours and excursions to local areas of culinary interest. Whether it is Advanced Cooking Classes or a simple night out for some Casual Fun Cooking Classes to Expertly prepared Gourmet Wine and Dine meals, The University of Richmond Center for Culinary Arts is here to provide You with an exceptional culinary experience for all Your "foodie" needs!

If we followed the advice of “slow food” advocates like Alice Water, we’d end up with literally billions hungry and more workers hyperexploited. There’s nothing progressive about the “slow food revolution.”

Our Story

History of This Page

I started this page April, 2011 as an Unofficial Fan Page for the now defunct University of Richmond Center for Culinary Arts:

Somehow, for some reason, I think it became the official page for the Center - though I am still somewhat confused as to how that actually came about, when it became official, or what that even meant. The FB social media strategy was never much of a priority. Though, I am fairly certain that it once reverted to an Unofficial Fan Page when the Center closed on June 30, 2017.

So, now it is a year later - June, 2018 - and I would like to resurrect it as a largely Community through Food page.
