Saturday morning thoughts in the garden:

We don’t have a whole lot of blooms right now, but it’s amazing to see what happens when God waters. 🌧️🌱 Everything perked up!

And you know what? I’m feeling the same way, too. A little extra pep in my step and a fresh reminder that He is faithful—ALWAYS! 🤍🙌🏻

Life is a roller coaster. Ever feel that way?🎢

Sometimes I get so caught up thinking about what’s gone that I forget to notice what’s right in front of me.

In the flowers and in different seasons of life, there’s always something beautiful right in front of us. 🙌🏻💕

It was a little easier to get away with my family the other weekend since we don’t have as many blooms right now. And you know what? The slower parts of the season bring lots of blessings, too.

So thankful for this family and for the gift of slowing down and enjoying them. 🥰

Hate to even admit it, but I’ve been feeling a little down lately. I want to show up on here to be an encouragement to you, but sometimes it’s a struggle to even show up.

I have not been out in the flowers as much lately because of the heat and lack of blooms…..But today it rained!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

This evening, I decided to finally get out in the backyard again, and walk through the garden. And wow, I’m feeling much better and refreshed already. I didn’t realize just how much I was missing this.

Oftentimes we read about how Jesus was in the garden, and it just makes a little more sense when you take a moment to simply sit and be still in the garden.

If life has you down, take a moment to step outside and look for the beauty. Sometimes it’s harder to see, but if you look closely enough, you’ll find it.

God will bring you peace. 🙌🏻❤️

Good morning! 🌻 I’ve had several people reach out about flowers this week, and I appreciate it so much! Just a quick update: I’m currently only fulfilling orders that were booked in advance, as I just don’t have a lot of flowers available right now. Crazy how much can change in just a couple weeks. I’m really feeling this heat and lack of rain!🫤 Trying not to be hard on myself, but taking notes for next season! Always learning!

✨BUT-The good news is I should have fresh sunflowers blooming within the next few weeks! 🌻 (Thanks to my mother, who has been helping me plant tons!!!) I’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready!

August. You’ve been really hot and dry so far, and it feels as though you’re trying to bring us down. 😰 There are so many flowers that are done at this point in the season, which means more and more areas of my backyard are looking downright pitiful… But there’s still hope!

I have fresh blooms that are thriving, and that’s where I’m trying to keep my focus. As I’ve talked with other flower farmers dealing with these same feelings, one shared a nugget of wisdom that really resonated with me: We can’t beat ourselves up for things we cannot control.

Isn’t that the truth for so many areas of our lives?

So today, I hope we can focus on the good, strive to do better in the areas of our lives that we can control, and rest in the fact that God IS in control! 🙌🏻

Have you ever just stopped at the end of the day and thought, “Wow… I am so blessed”? And felt completely blown away by all that God has given you? 🤍

I’ve noticed that when I’m spending more time in God’s Word, focused on Him, and in prayer, I see those blessings so much more clearly. But when I focus on the negative, it’s easy to let the hard things overshadow all the good.

Lately, I’ve been noticing this in my garden. I’ve been pulling out the old, tired flowers while noticing the fresh blooms coming in. And at this point in the summer, there are definitely more areas that aren’t thriving than I’d like to see! 😂 It’s easy to focus on those areas instead of all the beauty growing right in front of me.

But tonight, I got to plant seedlings and pick sunflowers with my youngest, and I found myself thinking about just how blessed I am. 🌻

Maybe life is like that, too. Sometimes we focus so much on what needs tending to that we miss what God is already growing.

Tonight, I’m choosing to slow down, notice the blooms, cherish the little moments, and be thankful for the beauty He’s given me.❤️
