Kasich signed Sub. H.B. 37 (Stinziano, Duffey) establishes exemptions to the Open Container Law regarding beer or intoxicating liquor purchased from specified D liquor permit holders and consumed on the premises of a market that meets specified conditions, eliminates the maximum permitted alcohol content of beer, and establishes labeling requirements for beer containing higher alcohol content.
..and there was much rejoicing!

Ohio Gov. John Kasich today (May 31) signed House Bill 37, which does away with the 12 percent cap. The new law -- designed to help grow the state's booming craft beer industry -- also allows open container districts and sets new labeling requirements for high-alcohol brews.
