C'mon into Nelson's for the Superbowl party!
We'll have a buffet and drink specials a plenty.
We'll supply the big stuff to eat. If you want to you can bring a covered dish.

We have a fly fishing class this coming Saturday. It's a father and son, father and daughter, mother and son or daughter, aunt, uncle class...It doesn't matter. )
The class is from 9am sharp until about 4pm. There will be breaks and we also will feed you lunch too. The cost is $10 per two people signed up. The people that are putting this class on do it for NON PROFIT. They will supply the hooks, feathers, line and all other related supplies. Sign up in the store by Thursday.
It's a great way to spend some quality time with the kids!

So we've got our lineup for Gatorfest ready. Friday October 25 at 8pm we have the Swamp Juice Band. Saturday at 2pm we have the Tucker McCall Band featuring our own Tony Marbury. Then at 8pm that same day Shaky Puddin is in the house. On Sunday at 2pm we have the Overflow Band. These guys are members of the Cruisers. Along with Overflow we have an antique car/hotrod show for all to enjoy. Plenty to drink, plenty to eat. Did I mention that there will be plenty to drink? ) Food will include different ways to make gator. Gator gumbo, gator jambalaya, gator cakes (like a crab cake) etc. Heck, we may even have a pig roast that sunday but me and the crew are gonna have to have a pow wow about it first. ) Whatcha think?

Keep the weekend open on your collective dockets for October 25-27th folks.
It's our 1st annual Gatorfest.
We've got the Swamp Juice Band opening things up on Friday evening. Saturday we have Shaky Puddin and (hopefully. Still working on it)) Chad Willey's band Banging Dixie. Sunday we have a hotrod/antique car show along with the band Overflow (former players from the Cruiser Band. There's airboat rides also for the kids provided by Justin. We're cooking up gator as many ways as we can think of. Jambalaya, gumbo, gator po-boys, gator cakes...
This is a charity event benefitting the local community people so please bring a wrapped toy if you can for the local scrubite Christmas fund or drop a couple bucks into the pot for them. Remember, it's all for a good cause!

Thanks to everyone for making the Gatorhole a success. I will miss everyone. Please support the new owners , they are great people. I love this place but I can't live my life without my grandson. I already miss you guys!

My burger of distinction is the regular hamburger at Nelson's Fish Camp (State Road 42 at the Ocklawaha River). The secret in my opinion is the right amount of fresh ingredients, not low-quality meat and produce that's been sitting around all day or more, served hot with pride and attention to consistent quality.
