This week’s pic: a very big thank you to Josué, who got up and played us a couple of songs recently!

ANNOUNCEMENT!
Hey there friends, just a heads up; there will be NO OPEN MIC at The Palms tomorrow night, Friday 10/30/26, as the Palms Restaurant will not only be celebrating Halloween, but also the fact that this weekend is their 30 year anniversary of owning the bar!

So as you can probably imagine, we are going to be partying all weekend out here 🎃🎂🎉🥂

Check out the Palms’ links at the bottom of this post for info!⤵️

As for Open Mic, you need not fret... it’s merely a momentary pause in the program, and before you know it we’ll be back to our usual start-of-the-weekend awesomeness **Next Friday, November 6th!**

And if, for some crazy reason, you don’t plan to attend the first night of The Palms’ 30th Anniversary/Halloween Weekend… whatever it is that you decide to do in the absence of Open Mic, I hope that you have yourself a fantastic Friday night!

🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN!🎃
I look forward to seeing you in a week.

Open Mic Night at The Palms!
🎤🌴🌴
Yep, it’s almost that time again!
And not only that, but tomorrow night will be the LAST CHANCE YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER to enjoy it with us!
The Palms Restaurant will be CLOSING FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST to take their yearly summer vacation. Unfortunately that means that Open Mic will be on vacation as well. Yeah… I’m bummed out too. But what can you do?
I mean, I guess I could have it at my house… but first I’d have to steal a sound system from somewhere, which would just be a terrible start.
Seriously though, I’m sure that this month will go by in a flash, and we’ll be back to our usual Friday evenings together *just* before we all go completely stir crazy 👍
In the meantime, maybe this is the chance you’ve been waiting for to crochet all of those doorknob covers for everyone you know, or perhaps you could use this time to practice holding your breath competitively… geez, spend the entire month wearing a gigantic bejeweled headdress and speaking only in rhyme, as is occasionally your wont. Why hold back? It’s *your* month.
Whatever inspiringly unique project you choose to embark upon, be sure to get it all finished up and out of your system in this next few short weeks so you can be refreshed and renewed and totally prepared for the return of Open Mic in September!
First things first, though…
Get down here TOMORROW NIGHT for your FINAL SHOT to enjoy a really great evening among talented, friendly folks before we take this break!

If you’d like to perform, be here for signup at 6:30. The show will start at 7 🕖

This week’s pic: a big thank you to Sherry Sibley Avella and Matthew Bennett for getting up and entertaining us last week! 🙏❤️

And thanks to YOU for your support!
