While much of Twain Harte is without power, we’re fortunate to have the lights on at Local Press!

We’ll be open 8 AM–2 PM today, serving up hot coffee, delicious food, and a warm place to hang out!

🍺 OKTOBERFEST UPDATE! 🍺

Unfortunately, one of our artists is sick and the other had a family emergency, so we won’t have live music today.

But Oktoberfest is still ON! We’ll be pouring ice-cold Oktoberfest brew from Amador Brewing Company, and the costume contest hits our stage at 2:00 PM!

One last HARD goodbye this summer for our Local Press family.

About four years ago, two of my employees brought this kid to me and said they thought he would be the perfect fit for us. Boy, were they right.

Brody has become one of the most upbeat, positive, and loyal people I have ever worked with or had work for me. If you see your name on the schedule with Brody, you know you’re going to be laughing most of the day.

He’s a Summerville graduate, a Fire Academy graduate, and now he’s heading to San Diego to start the next chapter of his life. Next weekend will be Brody’s last with us. It’s not just our staff who will miss him, my entire family will miss him too. The Lord has big plans for this young man, and I can’t wait to see what he does with him.

TWAIN HARTE OKTOBERFEST: OCTOBER 3RD!

Join us at Local Press for live music from Steph Baker & Justice Ramos, great food, cold drinks, and Oktoberfest fun!

Our Kitchen & Cantina will be OPEN and participating in the Town’s Oktoberfest Crawl, plus we’ll be serving hot soft pretzels & b**r cheese!

We’re even staying OPEN AN EXTRA HOUR to match the Oktoberfest event hours!

CHANGE OF HOURS

Now that summer is over and the kids are back in school, we’ll be returning to our school-year hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Starting this week, Local Press will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday’s.

At the end of the day, I’m a parent before I’m a business owner. Closing a little earlier these two days allows me to pick my son up from school on time and also gives me the flexibility I need for my coaching schedule that will be starting up soon.

Owning a small business means constantly trying to find that balance between work, family, and being involved in our community, and I’m grateful to have customers who understand that.

Thank you for your continued support and for allowing me to be a dad first.

We appreciate you!

Summer 2026 may be over, but the memories will last a lifetime.

What a summer it was.

Along the way, we said goodbye to Izak, Kiki, Mac and Liam, and soon we’ll be saying goodbye to Brody as he heads off on his next adventure. It’s always hard watching members of our Local Press family move on, but we’re incredibly thankful for the time we had with each of them.

But don’t fret! We have some awesome plans for fall and winter, and we hope you’ll join us for all of it.

First up, our next big shindig…

OKTOBERFEST!

Coming this October, because, well, when else would we have Oktoberfest?

Thanks for another unforgettable summer, Twain Harte. We’re not slowing down just because summer is over.
