The Black Marlin is no longer the new kid on the block here in Old Town Tustin. Our fish house and regional BBQ restaurant resides in the historical Tustin Garage on 6th Street and El Camino Real, where this historical building is now a destination restaurant. In 2014, we finished 2nd in The Orange County Register's Best of Orange County Best Seafood Restaurant category after being open for just 9

months. We invite you to see for yourself why Orange County has voted us The Best Seafood Restaurant in Orange County.

Well, it's our last lunch special before we shut down for our major remodel this weekend. It's an Achiote Chicken Sandwich: Juicy grilled chicken breast infused with an achiote sauce, topped with roasted poblano peppers, melted provolone cheese, and a smoky chipotle aioli, all sandwiched between a soft brioche bun. Served with crispy shoestring fries.

Come by and say hi before we say goodbye!

To Our Black Marlin Family,

The Black Marlin in Tustin will be temporarily closing after dinner service on Saturday, March 1st for a major restaurant remodel. After years of planning, we’re excited to embark on this much needed and long-awaited renovation to elevate your dining experience.

This transformation will include essential plumbing upgrades, a modernized kitchen, a reimagined restaurant and bar layout, and an exciting new menu—carefully crafted to become an award-winning favorite.

Due to the complexity of these upgrades and the unique challenges of working within a historic space, we don’t have an exact reopening date just yet. But rest assured, we’ll be keeping you updated every step of the way.

For the past 11 years, your unwavering support has meant everything to us. We can’t wait to welcome you back to something truly special in Old Town Tustin. Stay connected with us on social media for progress updates, behind-the-scenes looks, and sneak peeks at the exciting changes ahead.

When we return, The Black Marlin will not only continue to be your local neighborhood gathering spot for great food, drinks, and special occasions—it will also be a top culinary destination for all of Southern California to enjoy.

We thank you in advance for your patience and support, and we look forward to serving you soon!

—The Black Marlin Team
