ART ALIVE AT TRICERATOPS

We're running a chalk art contest for the month of September. Use our tasting room chalk wall to explore your creativity, and if you impress us, there might be a prize coming your way! No purchase necessary, and all ages welcome.

Here's how it works:

1. Visit us in Tumwater on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in September.
2. We'll provide chalk for each contestant and a square space on the wall to fill with your illustration.
3. Pictures and contact details will be collected at the time of entry.
4. At the end of the month, the Horn family will choose a winner in both a kids (12 and under) division and an adult division.

If we get enough entries, we might also let our social media followers vote on a People’s Choice Award. Winners will receive either a small, age appropriate prize or a Triceratops gift card.

We can't wait to see what the many artists in our community will come up with this month. Good luck!

WATCH THE APPLE CUP WITH US

For the first time in the long history of the series between the Huskies and the Cougars, the Apple Cup will be the season opener. Meet us at our Tumwater tasting room this Sunday, September 6th to watch the game over a few pints, or swing by today or tomorrow to grab some b**r to-go.

Rob, our co-founder and brewer, reaches the half century mark this weekend. And yes, before we say more, we know that without a beard he doesn't look a day over 40!

In all seriousness, despite his mean mugging, Rob loves all the people in his life very much, so we couldn't let this milestone pass without a party. Please stop by the tasting room between 5:00 and 9:00pm this Saturday, August 8th to toast to five decades of Rob Horn.

And besides the party, we're marking the occasion by pulling out a few cases of a special b**r that has also improved with age. Buy a bottle of Prehistoric Guardian Barleywine anytime this weekend and get a second bottle for 50% off.

Walking while cradling takes a certain amount of skill—whether it's a ball in a small net or an armful of cold cans.

Brewing has been a family affair for us since the beginning, so we named this b**r for our son, a talented lacrosse player. Inspired by some of our favorite New England hazies, Ben IPA packs in mythic proportions of Citra, Galaxy, and Idaho 7 thanks to a double dry hop.

Full-bodied and smooth with big notes of citrus fruit, pineapple, and woodsy pine, our latest IPA finishes with a hop-saturated bite. Use the FIND US link on our site to track Ben down, but hurry, it won't be around for long!

What do you get by combining a classic pre-Prohibition recipe with one of the South Sound's favorite b**rs? A blend of historic proportions!

Leotucky L***r, the latest collaboration between friends Rob Horn of Triceratops and Chris Knudson and Paul Pearson of Well 80 Brewhouse, captures the malty magic of Pennsyltucky L***r and Leopold's Original 1896 L***r, the b**r that started it all for Olympia Brewing Company.

By incorporating elements of this refreshing, malt-forward pre-prohibition l***r and the crisp, award-winning amber l***r that has made Triceratops a local favorite, Horn and Pearson created something that speaks to the past and the present.

Our tasting room will be open at 3:00pm as usual this Friday, July 24th, but we're closing a couple of hours early for a private event. We'd still love to pour you a pint at the end of the work week or sell you a 4-pack of cans for the weekend, but last call will be at 6:45pm.

And don't worry, we'll be back to our regular hours on Saturday and Sunday. See you soon!

In 2026, Memorial Day landed on earliest date it possibly could, while Labor Day will fall on the latest possible date this year. Why bring this up? Because, like it or not, it means that if summer is 105 days long, we've officially crossed the midway point.

We've been busy during the first half of the summer brewing, packaging, selling, and delivering b**r and hard soda across Western Washington. To be honest, we're a little tired (Rob especially). But we can't wait for you to try our next batch of new releases.

In the meantime, swing by the tasting room in Tumwater, let us know what you've enjoyed drinking, and tell us about the fun you plan to squeeze in before September.

Have you tried our hard soda yet?

Don't let the light and refreshing character fool you—this is one ferociously flavorful drink. Pouring the color of a Blood Moon, our hard soda howls with notes of bright citrus and sweet vanilla.

We think it's scary good, but let us know your opinion in the comments!

Four packs are back in stock at the tasting room, and you can now also find it in cans and on tap at a bunch of places in Western Washington.
