One Distillery, Many Voices.🥃

One distillery. Seven pours. Zero repeats. On October 2, we’re pouring nothing but Bardstown Bourbon Company — house-distilled, blended, and finished in barrels from France, Barbados (twice), and a West Virginia cooperage.

Last tasting, we proved bourbon doesn’t need Kentucky. This time we’re proving the opposite: one Kentucky distillery can out-range an entire state. Bardstown Bourbon Company is barely ten years old and already blends, sources, and finishes bourbon in barrels nobody else is using.

OUR STORY

Before it was a restaurant, B. Graves was a person.

Betty Graves was our founder’s grandmother — and exactly the kind of woman whose name belongs over a door. She graduated with highest honors from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, Mississippi, in 1944, then went on to Converse College. Before she married, she ran a private kindergarten in Pageland, South Carolina. She and her husband, Jim, owned Carolina Sporting Goods, and they built their life and raised their children in Sanford, North Carolina.

But the part that matters most here isn’t on any résumé. Betty gave herself — fully, and without keeping score — to her family, her friends, her church, and the care of others, especially the elderly. She spent her life making people feel looked after. Fed, welcomed, remembered.

That’s the whole idea of a restaurant, when it’s done right. So we took her name, and with it, her standard: take care of people. Everything else — the kitchen, the bar, the room — is just how we try to live up to it.
