๐บ๐ธ LUCKY LEFTYโS SEPTEMBER VETERAN OF THE MONTH ๐บ๐ธ
This September, we are incredibly proud to recognize Staff Sergeant Wayne Madson as Lucky Leftyโs Veteran of the Month. Wayneโs story is one of service, dedication, family, and a lifelong commitment to those who have worn our nationโs uniform.
Beginning his military career with the U.S. Army Reserve in 1980, Wayne went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1982โ1991, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant E-5. His service took him from Texas and Illinois to Germany and Korea, where he served in Air Transportation.
But Wayneโs dedication to service didnโt end when he took off the uniform. Throughout the years, he has remained deeply involved in organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and preserving the fellowship of military families. Wayne is a Paid-Up-for-Life member of American Legion Post 321 in New Baden, as well as a member of the Sons of the American Legion, VFW, and DAV. His commitment to the Sons of the American Legion even led him to serve as Past State Commander.
That continued dedication says so much about the kind of man Wayne is. He served his country, came home and worked hard, raised a family with his wife Mary, and continued giving his time and leadership to the veteran community.
Behind every veteran is also a family who shares in the sacrifices, the memories, and the journey. We are grateful to his wife Mary, their children Vincent, John, and Wayne Jr., and their grandchildren William, Henry, and Oliver for sharing Wayne with us as we recognize him for this special honor. โค๏ธ
Please join us at Lucky Lefty on Tuesday, September 8th from 5PMโ9PM as we shake Wayneโs hand, hear a few stories, share some laughs, and most importantly, simply say:
Thank you, Staff Sergeant Wayne Madson. ๐บ๐ธ
Thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for continuing to stand beside your fellow veterans.
