Good Evening,
It is with very mixed feelings that I sit down to write this for all of you tonight. The journey that Brandon and I have taken since that very first moment we sat down to discuss buying Golden Eagle has been a ride to say the least. While bumpy at times, and downright turbulent during the Covid years through to our fire, we continually feel grateful for what GE was for us and how it enriched our lives. We still, 2 1/2 years after our fire, feel in awe of the amazing support, encouragement, and kindness that we were shown during our time there. And we continued to see the same even after the fire, which was such a devastating experience for our family. My heart still beats for the fast paced pizza nights, time spent with the most amazing employees to work alongside, and the relationships cultivated within those walls. Some of my favorite times were made during our events that we got to get out of the kitchen and visit, and maybe take a shot or two ;) Please know that those good times are the reason that our decision was so difficult, and our love of serving the pizzas to our favorites will always be remembered.
With all that being said, the nitty gritty of why I am writing tonight. After going back and forth for years of trying to figure out exactly how we wanted to take our next steps in life, we came to a final conclusion at the end of this past winter. We have finally decided to close the chapter, and we do not want it to be filled with rumors and speculation. We have actively listed one part of the property as of today. At this point, it is only the one part as there is a lot more work to be done before listing the others, however they too will eventually go up. Because of all our feelings still attached to this property, we have decided we do not want to do the day to day of selling and will exclusively do any and all negotiations through our broker Carolyn Burkhardt. I will attach her information in the comments below.
This does not mean that Golden Eagle is gone for good, that part is still in our pockets to be held for another day. It just means that for us, it will not be now and not be there in that place.
To all of our amazing customers, friends, family, and those of you customers that became family through Golden Eagle we look forward to seeing you in whatever next venture our lives hold. You continue to mean the world to us, and we will forever be appreciative of the part that you played in our success.
Sincerely,
Brandon & Ashley
