To our wonderful community,

I want to take a moment to share something difficult and to apologize sincerely. Due to getting behind on state taxes with the Department of Revenue, we have been required to temporarily close. I take full responsibility for this situation, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.

I’m working closely with the proper channels to get everything back on track as quickly as possible, so we can reopen our doors and welcome you all again. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make things right.

Get your homemade holiday pies from Tate's Umapine Mercantile

Few things bring us more comfort and good memories than a made-from-scratch pie.

Tara Perkins, owner of Tate's Umapine Mercantile, knows how valuable such goodness is, especially in the holiday seasons.

For 20 years Tara has been filling tummies and hearts with her wide variety of pie flavors, including the crowd favorite, Huckleberry Apple. Other popular request include Marionberry, Pumpkin, Blackberry, Key Lime, Pecan, Dutch Apple and Cherry pies—oh, And the cream pies-Pumpkin, Banana, Chocolate and Coconut

Generous fillings are tucked into a flaky, rich crust and Tara can make just about any variety of pie by request.

Prices start at $16 and go from there, based on ingredient costs.

Pies by the slice are sold at Tate's Umapine Mercantile for dining in. Whole pies are available when ordered at least 24 hours ahead. For more information call Tara at 541-938-5936.
