One day a young lady from a small Kansas town named Jeanne stopped by. Jeanne continued to frequent Oscars and joined their softball team and soon got offered a job bartending. Things must have went well because in 1993 Jeanne Swanson bought OSCARS and has been the sole owner ever since. ed they wanted to give College Hill a fresh look. Oscars and Jerrys bike shop were able to hang on to their 2 original businesses, although Oscars did have to relocate to the building across the street .The development went up and changed the look of College Hill forever but things at Oscars stayed the same. Oscars is considered one of the long standing relics of College Hill. This is a local neighborhood tavern that welcomes all. Jeanne is not only a kind hearted, giving individual...she is obviously a strong woman with a good head on her shoulders. Most of her staff have been employed by her for many years. Jeanne is coming up on her 25th year anniversary of owning Oscars.How many people can say they have hung on to a business for 25yrs! We hope to keep Oscars around for 25 more!
