Event 5... Dodgeball. This event has two cocktails attached to it. The Double Toss, that true to its name is two drinks in one, the top half being a refreshing play on a chocolate covered orange, and the bottom transforming into a bitter strawberry negroni riff. Day two event is Tug of War. This cocktail will leave some people on the ground, while having others upright and not believing that they came through unscathed. Mixing the controversial Malört that I infuse with fresh vanilla beans, the almost bubblegum forward See the Elephant Amaro, with Luxardo Maraschino, and lemon juice. This is an equal parts cocktail, in the mold of a Co**se Reviver #2 or a Last Word.

Our first event, the Relay Race, brings four flavors together: the mellow wheat from a local whiskey out of Dodge City, deep grape notes from the cognac, anise from the absinthe and the bitters, and a sweet base from the honey syrup. Following an Old Fashioned build, or even a Vieux Carré build, this cocktail is true to its name, combining four distinct flavors into one cohesive drink.
