Hello friends! After almost six years this is the official announcement that Ryan’s Public House is closing.
Nothing dire prompts this decision (small town rumors might generate). Everything is fine, but for our family, the time of owning a pub is has come to a close. The choice has been weighty, but it is the right one for us. For now.
OH MY how many wonderful friendships have developed and how much wonderful music has been made! We’ve learned much about business, but also lots about ourselves.
Magic is how to describe many, many, many moments in the pub. Oh how the music and musicians filled this humble and eclectic former welding shop/laundromat with singing, playing, and dancing!
What we didn’t get in press coverage was outweighed by the wonderful word-of-mouth from our loyal customers who have become like a trusted family.
Thank you for so many wonderful folks who understood and helped along the journey. Doing business in Tonganoxie was wonderful. We found lots of support!
Yes, there is relief that accompanies this announcement, but just as much appreciation and gratitude to those of you who truly “got it” about the place, and the time; the space the was created for you.
We were honored to have amazing musicians take our stage. Many had “outgrown” out small venue but kept returning. For that we are also grateful.
Future collaborations will unfold in time (don’t call us, we’ll call you) but for now, signing off as Ryan’s Pub.
This is truly our last call. Love to you all!
