Hi Everyone!
We're writing with some exciting news: the Toledo Rowing Club has a new Board of Managers, and we're ready to turn the page together.
Our club has a lot going for it - a great stretch of the Maumee, a fleet worth rowing, and a group of people who genuinely enjoy being on the water with each other. Our goal for this next chapter is simple: Grow the club, strengthen the rowing community, and bring people together around this incredible sport we all love!
The new Board of Managers is:
- Spencer Rogers
- Cat Sprague
- Lance Pioch
- Kyle Stanley
With Mark Mockensturm serving as Treasurer
Each of us are super excited for the opportunity that is currently presented for Toledo Rowing with the support and new and exciting things happening at and around the boathouse. Each of us have shared why we were interested in being a part of the board and I will include those at the end of this email!
What "turning the page" means, in practice:
- Community first: A more welcoming, better-connected club - clearer communication, more chances to row together, and social time off the water too.
- Room to grow: We want to bring in new rowers, welcome back familiar faces, and make it easy to get from "curious" to "confident on the water."
- Programming you can count on: More opportunities on structured programming on and off the water, better-maintained equipment, and a safety culture where everyone knows the standard - so you can just enjoy the row.
We also really want to hear from you! Whether you are a current member or former member we would love for you to take a survey so that we might better understand where we could help make updates and changes to better our community.
