Day 4 was another great day for the Striders as The Stephens brothers strike again.

Gus Vanni started the day off by qualifying for the finals of the 15-16 year old boys 110 meter Hurdles with a new PR. Gus is the only 15 year old to make the finals.

Ji'Aire Stephens earned his second All American honor by finishing 5th in the 15-16 year old boys triple jump.

The highlight performance of the day was turned in by Mr Jordan Stephens who secured his 2nd National Championship in as many days by winning the 10 year old boys long jump setting a New meet record in the process.

Day 2 of The Club National Championships was a tough one for The Striders as many of them did not obtain their set goals. However, there was one athlete who exceeded expectations. With that being said please join me in congratulating Ms Demanee Kidd who earned her second All American honor in as many days by finishing 8th in the nation in the 14 year old girls Discus throw. Congratulations Nene!!!!!

Today was the first day of The Club National Championship held in Jacksonville Florida and your Space Coast Striders were well represented as 4 athletes earned All American status by finishing in the Top 8 of their events at this National level meet.

Damanee Kidd finished 6th in the 14 year old girls Shot put with a new PR
Machi Joe was 4th in the 15-16 year old boys shot put with a new PR
Jiaire Stephens finished 3rd in the 15-16 year old boys long jump
Deuce Fluellen finished 6th in the 15-16 year old boys long jump

Jordan qualified for the semifinals of the 10 year old boys 100 meters

Acari Walker placed 13th in 14 year old boys triple jump

On the final day of the Regional Qualifier your Space Coast Striders ended the 4 day event with a bang. Athletes qualifying for the Junior Olympics today were:

Gus Vanni 1st place 15-16 year old 110 Hurdles

Justin Williams 2nd place 11 year old 100 Meters

Da'Bar Fluellen 4th place 15-16 year old 100 Meters

Jordan Stephens 5th place 10 year old 200 Meters

Kaysen Vernon 5th place 14 year old 200 Meters

Da'Bar Fluellen 6th place 15-16 year old 200 Meters

Breon Griffin 6th place 10 year old shot put

Buddha McDonald 3rd place in the 8& under long jump in a new PR

Kye Capley 4th place 9 year old long jump

Nazier McDonald 5th place 9 year old long jump

Jordan Stephens 1st place 10 year old long jump

Breon Griffin 4th place 10 year old long jump

All in all we had 20 of the 27 athletes who competed this weekend qualify in at least one event for the Junior Olympics. Job well done Striders!!!!

Day 3 of the Regional Qualifier is in the books and again The Space Coast Striders Track Club did not disappoint. The following athletes punched their tickets to the Junior Olympics:

Gus Vanni 2nd place in the 15-15yr old 400 meter Hurdles with a new PR

Buddha McDonald finished 5th in the 8& under 400 meters

Jordan Stephens finished 4th in the 10yr old 400 meters

Kaysen Vernon finished 5th in the 14 year old 400 meters

Da'Bar Fluellen finished 4th in the 15-16yr old 400 meters

Zoey Barnes 3rd place in the 14 year old long jump

Ji'Aire Stephens 1st place 15-16 year old boys long jump

Da'Bar Fluellen 5th place in the 15-16 year old long jump

Kaysen Vernon 2nd place in the 14 year old long jump

Athletes who punched their tickets to the Junior Olympics today were:

Nazier McDonald 2nd place in the 9 year old boys turbo javelin

Aiden Koukos 1st place in the 14 year old boys triple jump with a new PR

Acari Walker 2nd place in the 14 year old boys triple jump with a new PR

Justin Williams 1st place in the 11 year old boys long jump in a New PR

Luke Vickers 3rd place in the 13 year old long jump with a New PR

Machi Joe 3rd place in the 15-16yr old boys Shot put

Ji'Aire Stephens 3rd place in the 15-16 year old boys triple jump

Gus Vanni 5th place in both the 15-16yr old boys triple jump and High jump.

We also had 3 athletes qualify for the 100 meter finals on Sunday.
