Despite what Google says about it being permanently closed, Vinberige Vineyards winery in Glenford OH is definitely open for business. The food offerings have improved since the new operation opened back up. They offer a selection of 8 wines with an option to try flights, draft and canned beers, liquor, frozen wine slushies and other beverages.
Food includes appetizers, salads, entrees, and a kids menu.
Armosphere: 5/5. The decoration and vibe of the old antique building are superb. Music was relaxing and overall environment was very inviting.
Food: 2.5/5. The food was generally tasty, but not well executed and portions were small. Several ingredients were missing from salads and substitutions were made from the descriptions without asking. For the price, the food was average. Value here is key: If it would have been executed better it might have been rated higher. The tastiest item was the popcorn, with an interesting olive oil and spice blend.
Service: 2.5/5. Service was friendly and hospitable but inexperienced. It did feel as though the staff was overwhelmed and understaffed for the number of patrons, but we didn’t mind the wait in the nice atmosphere. Tables lingered dirty and the menu wasn’t well known / understood by the server.
Overall: 3/5. This location has potential to be a local destination but needs improvement. We want to go back and try it again but to earn a regular spot in our outing rotation it would definitely need to improve a bit.
