Saturday May 30th AT THE Racehorse Tavern Tavern it's "EMILY'S TOYBOX"
Add one part irreverent punk personality (frontman extraordinaire, Mike Wise), one part maniacal guitarist (Brandon Reece), two parts dream rhythm section (Rick Lienhard and M**f) and what do you get? One hell of a rock and roll ass-whoopin' you won't soon forget!
Emily's ToyBox cannot (even remotely) be compared to any other independent band on the east coast. In addition to a genuinely unique and powerful stage presence, they have sold more CDs and merchandise during their career than any other independent band in the extended area. However, unlike other bands making similar "claims", this band actually has the tax and sales records to prove it.
Mike Wise, ETB's lead singer and chief songwriter, formed the group in 1997, conceiving it as a pre-fab project that would only be around long enough to pay off bills from his previous band. Formerly a 3-piece, ETB went on to an illustrious career, quickly working their way out of their day jobs, making rounds on the extended Mid-Atlantic circuits, venturing as far as Illinois, Vermont and Florida, playing a thick catalog of in-the-red originals. Hard work and dedication have never been lacking from the Emily’s ToyBox psyche.
In 2001, Emily's ToyBox underwent an evolution of sorts that morphed an already powerful regional act into something unbelievably bigger and better. As a four-piece band, Wise gained freedom to roam the stage and audience at will, inciting a kind of enthusiasm not far from mania that leaves the fans drenched, exhausted and always coming back for more.
"We're different," says Wise. "Many bands have said, 'Well, my band's different.' We're one of the few bands who really ARE different." "The four of us are naturally goofballs, but we honestly respect one another as musicians and people. We also don't 'try' to do or be anything other than ourselves. Our personality comes out onstage and in our songs."
Emily's ToyBox is of the rarest breed, continually breaking new ground as an entrepreneurial entity on the independent music scene. With undeniable originality, talent and work ethic, there are no limits to what they will create and accomplish in years to come.

HOTT OFF THE PRESS THE Racehorse Tavern is happy to bring you
Joel Hoekstra and Brandon gibbs on Friday July 17th. Opening up for Joel and Brandon is the one and only Stonewood.
The Hoekstra/Gibbs Acoustic Rock Show is a show within a show — a high-energy,
masterfully crafted acoustic experience from two world-class guitarists who have redefined what
an acoustic performance can be. Whether on theater stages, festival lineups, club tours, or across
three international runs, this powerhouse duo consistently delivers a performance so full and
dynamic that audiences often exclaim, “They sound like a full band on stage!”
Their sound is massive, but it’s the chemistry that truly sets them apart: rich vocal harmonies,
jaw-dropping guitar work, quick humor, and magnetic stage presence that leaves crowds
electrified and wanting more. Every show is a reminder of why these two continue to raise the
bar — they bring everything they’ve got, every single night.
Joel Hoekstra
Internationally renowned for his blazing riffs and impeccable solos, Joel Hoekstra is easily
recognized as one of the top guitarists performing today! Best known for his work with
Whitesnake and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Joel’s career also includes collaborations with
Cher, Broadway’s Rock of Ages Band, and Night Ranger. His technical mastery and
unmistakable style make him a standout force on any stage.
Brandon Gibbs
Joining him is singer-songwriter-guitarist Brandon Gibbs, frontman for the supergroup Devil
City Angels and most recently The Rockett Mafia, the newest project led by Rikki Rockett of
Poison. A respected touring musician, Brandon joined Poison in 2022 on the Def
Leppard/Mötley Crüe Stadium Tour, showcasing his powerful voice on backup vocals. Known
for his blues-rock guitar style and emotionally charged songwriting, Brandon brings fire, soul,
and authenticity to every performance.
Celebrating 10 Years — New Show, New Music, New Era
The year 2026 marks a decade of touring together with this phenomenal project — and the
momentum is only growing.
A decade in, and they’re just getting started. The Hoekstra/Gibbs Acoustic Rock Show keeps
getting bigger, bolder, and better.

Gunshine will be playing AUGUST 22ND at the Racehorse Tavern with Scotty Austin and EMILY'S TOYBOX and Stalefate!
Hailing from the panhandle of Florida, Gunshine offers a breath of fresh air to the rock scene. A musical love child conceived during the pandemic, Gunshine was birthed by Daytona Beach native and New Years Day ax man Austin Ingerman, who, as a result of the world shutting down, suddenly found himself off the road and eager to carry out his vision of forming a fresh, edgy rock n' roll band. The vision was to create songs that had attitude, were melodic/catchy, and most importantly written very organically. "I'll hear vocal melodies and guitar riffs in my head, and let things flow very naturally and artistically. We just write what comes out, and never try to sound a certain way or let external factors influence our writing in any way" says Ingerman.
After an exhaustive search, Jordan Benson, distant cousin to Elvis Presley, became the band’s singer and added a dose of charisma and showmanship that has become a staple of Gunshine’s live shows. Gunshine recorded their debut album, and follow up EP in Las Vegas with producer/engineer Chris Collier (Korn, Mick Mars, Whitesnake, Lynchmob, Prong) who is an integral part of the sonic translation of the band.
Together, this group lays down face-melting guitar solos, catchy riffs, soaring vocals and a lethal rhythm section which all come together to create a sonic boom harkening back to a time when music was raw, blisteringly energetic, and loud. In a world where it is commonplace to play it safe, Gunshine throws the rule book out and plays it straight from the heart, no tricks, no frills, no BS. This is rock-n-roll, the kind you’ve been missing.
Tickets will be $25 and on sale Monday MAY 25th. Get them soon This one will sell out. Call 717-792-9838 to secure yours.
