Samuel has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis caused by a rare bacteria called Paenibacillus. Their journey ahead is long, exhausting, and unimaginable, but Samuel is strong, he is fighting, and his family is holding on to faith, hope, and every good sign along the way.

No One Sees What You See, Even If They’re Looking At The Same Thing

Two people can stand in the same moment, witness the same event, hear the same words, and still walk away with entirely different realities. Not because one is right and the other is wrong, but because perception is not neutral. It is filtered through memory, belief, emotion, experience, and identity. What you see is shaped by everything that has shaped you.

Misunderstanding is common. You expect others to interpret things the way you do. You assume clarity exists simply because something feels obvious to you. But what feels clear to you may be invisible to someone else, or interpreted through a completely different lens. People are not responding to reality alone. They are responding to their version of it.

The structure of human perception is not flawless. There is no single, shared lens. Only overlapping interpretations that sometimes align and often do not. Communication requires more than expression. It requires translation, patience, and the willingness to recognize that your perspective is not universal.

You do not need everyone to see what you see. But you do need to understand that they won’t, at least not in the same way. This reduces unnecessary conflict and increases clarity in how you engage. Because the goal is not identical perception. It is accurate understanding across difference.

Tonight we’re on the doorstep of the Lunar New Year, and as we move into the Year of the (Fire) Horse (also the Chinese New Year), the energy shifts toward momentum, courage, and forward motion. 

Year of the Horse: think get moving, choose a direction, take the next right step even if it’s small. 

✨ A simple intention for this year:
“I take steady action. I trust my body. I follow what feels aligned.”

If you’re feeling called to “reset,” keep it gentle and doable: drink more water, take a post-meal walk, clear one clutter spot, or commit to a consistent bedtime for a week. Small steps count and they add up fast when the Horse energy kicks in.

🤯 Today I’m celebrating my 62nd birthday… and I’m still trying to wrap my head around that number! 😅 But here we are, and I’m truly grateful.

Those who know me well, know I’ve had my share of challenges, and I’m doing my best to show up, keep moving forward, and keep finding the good. Even though I’ve had to slow down a little with clients.

Today I decided to have a little fun with Chat and jump on the trendy train 😂 (because apparently that’s how you stay young and “current,” right?). Who knows… this might even become my new profile photo!

Today I’m off celebrating in Biloxi, the weather is absolute perfection☀️, and my husband always goes out of his way to make my day feel extra special. Feeling really lucky and very loved. 💛
