Invest in Prairie County! Thursday October 8, 2026.
American Legion Post 32 is sponsoring an evening to bring together the volunteer organizations of Prairie County. It's an opportunity to get the word out about your organization, to let folks know about any projects coming up or needs you might have (additioanl volunteers, financial support, etc.) and how an interested person could get involved.
There is no charge to participate.
We're calling it an Organization Fair (much like a job fair). We'll have tables set up for organizations to use to display your information. For planning purposes, each organization will have half the space of an 8 foot table. Please plan to set up before 5:00 PM.
We'll start at 5:00 PM with meat and cheese while participants move through the tables to visit with the organizations. Then at 5:20, the Prairie County Economic Development group will give us an orverview of what they do and how they might be of assistance to your organization. At 5:30, financial advisors, Angie Hagen and Kayla Rivas, will present on Charitable Giving strategies. This infomation should be especially helpful for those who are considering how to approach their Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) requirements.
Please plan to attend... if you'd like to learn more about the volunteers of Prairie County, if your organization wants to share information, or if you'd just like to spend a bit of time enjoying the snacks and your neigbors' company.
