To Our Crows Nest Family,
This is one of the hardest messages we’ve ever had to write.
After a lot of thought, long conversations, and some very difficult months, we’ve made the decision to close the doors of Crows Nest Tavern.
The truth is simple, and it’s not easy to say—this winter hit us harder than we could recover from. Three very slow months, combined with a few unexpected challenges, put us in a position financially that we just couldn’t come back from. We gave it everything we had, but sometimes that still isn’t enough.
What makes this especially hard isn’t just closing a business—it’s stepping away from something that became so much more than that. Over the past year and a half, we didn’t just run a tavern… we built relationships, shared laughs, created memories, and became part of each other’s lives. That’s what we’ll carry with us the most.
We’ve also heard some things being said online, and we want to clear the air with honesty and respect. The veteran memorabilia—especially the bar top that meant so much to so many—is safe and secure. It holds pieces of all of us, including our own, and we would never treat that lightly. We do have plans for it, and when the time is right, we’ll share more.
For those of you who entrusted us with deeply personal items, we’ve reached out to return those to you. Other items have been thoughtfully donated or passed along to veteran programs and local businesses that will continue to honor their meaning.

You made Crows Nest what it was. Not us—you.
This experience has been one of the greatest lessons of our lives. And while this chapter is closing, we’re proud that we took the chance. As they say, it’s better to have tried than to wonder “what if.”
We love you all. We truly do.
