We are here at the trailer until 3pm today if you'd like a tour. We also finally located the details of the RV. It's a John Deere Waterloo Works,1988 Overland.
-----
Open House (RV), Sunday, Sep 27 from 2-3pm. Location: Trails End RV Park
541 East H. Street, Spot #3
Tehachapi

NOTE: Spot 3 is located on the last row of campers in the park as you drive up to the dead end. Please drive slowly as there are children in the park.

UPDATE - Due to an overwhelming amount of interest, we will plan for an open house on Sunday around 2pm. PLEASE NOTE: it wouldn't be free if it was in great shape. There's interior mold due to the roof leaking as well as other issues mechanically, like use of propane and other necessities. These things will need to be fixed to make it livable. Again, free... but it comes as is, no exceptions!

Also, the Veteran who lived here is doing just fine and in great care! He simply needed assistance and living on his own was no longer safe.

We have a Vietnam Veteran who is looking to give his home away for FREE. It may run but we have no idea for sure. Comes at the cost of free with self transport. Sold as is, no exceptions!Believed to be a 1978. Let us know if you want a tour and we will try to accommodate. It's currently located at the Trails End RV Park in Tehachapi. PM our messanger with any questions and we will try to get back to you quickly. Must be removed by 1 Oct. 🇺🇸

🖊️ Pop by the Post with a Sharpie and make history!

Before our new “Greetings” mural gets its final design, you have a chance to leave your mark. 🎨

✍️ Sign your name, leave a message, or write a little piece of history that will be hidden forever beneath the finished mural.

📅 Monday, September 21: The mural will be primed, so please do not add any more signatures after it has been primed.

🎨 The new design will hopefully begin taking shape on Friday, September 25, followed by painting on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27.

🖌️ Any art-worthy hands are welcome to help paint the final artwork! Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply love being creative, we’d love to have you be part of bringing this special piece to life.

We’re counting on our amazing community to help us follow the rules and preserve this special piece of history just the way it’s meant to be. ❤️

Come sign it while you can, and come help us paint it when the time comes!

THANK YOU Greg Hark and Make Art Tehachapi!

We made great headway on the new "Greetings" Mural today. Thank you to all the many hands that helped! Each piece seen here weighs 100lbs! Greg Hark was of great assistance. Thank you again to him and "Make Art Tehachapi"!

More prep work will happen this week and on Friday, Sep 25, you'll hopefully see the new art work drawn out. Painting is planned to begin that Sat and Sun. If you have a knack for art, feel free to lend a hand🤗🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Parents, teachers, and community members - Please help spread the word to our Middle and High School students!

Here’s a great opportunity for students to earn scholarship money while showcasing their writing skills!

Our Post awards $500 for each scholarship, with the check made directly in the student’s name. And the opportunity doesn’t stop there!

If a student wins at the local level, their essay advances to the next level, where they have the opportunity to earn even more scholarship money, all with the SAME essay! They only have to write one essay, and if selected, it continues competing through each level.

In the past two years, Tehachapi High School students have advanced to the State level, and took home more than $2,500 each for an outstanding essay that matched the theme!

Please see the attached flyers for complete details, including this year’s themes, requirements, and deadlines.

Encourage your students to participate. This could be an incredible opportunity to turn great writing into scholarship (cash) money! 🇺🇸
