As June 28th approaches and Wayfarer nears its first anniversary, I’ve found myself thinking about Ripple by the Grateful Dead.
There’s something in that song that feels a lot like these mountains. It speaks of following a path you can’t always see, trusting a voice that isn’t loud, and finding your way through the world by listening with your heart. A year ago, we opened the doors to Wayfarer with a vision, but no map. Like most worthwhile journeys, we’ve been learning the road one mile at a time.
Over the past year, musicians, neighbors, travelers, dreamers, and storytellers have all left their mark here. Like ripples in a mountain creek, every song played, every meal shared, every conversation on Main Street has traveled farther than we may ever know. What started as an idea has become something shaped by an entire community.
As we look toward our first anniversary, we’re grateful for every person who has been part of the journey. And much like the song reminds us, sometimes the most meaningful things in life aren’t found at the destination they’re found in the people who walk beside us along the way.
Stay tuned for what we’re planning for our one year anniversary celebration. The next verse of this story is just around the bend, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
