With 24 taps of ever-changing, high quality options, our eclectic approach to brewing results in a wide variety of craft beer, cider and sodas. From light to dark, bitter to sour and funky to fruity, our recipes are often inspired by ingredients used in fermentation traditions from around the world. Our deep commitment to excellence in our small brewery provides us the flexibility to experiment wi

th ingredients and flavors in small batch brewing and remain devoted to our ideals of local, fresh and high quality. If you're looking for an often overlooked traditional style or a taste of how other cultures produce fermented beverages, we're here to serve you some unique Florida craft beverages! Our broad interest in the long history of beer led to our decision to pay homage to the first large scale beer brewing culture on earth, the ancient Egyptians, in the choice of our name and taproom theme. Many people don't realize how important beer was to the ancient Egyptians and there's a fascinating story in their mythology that's related to beer that has the Egyptian cat goddess, Bastet, as its antagonist. For the full story, check out the Bastet Brewing website or visit our taproom for a flight of beers and hear the tale from Tom or Huston, whom you'll always find working behind the bar. Please check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for current news, events and beer releases!

Bastet Brewing has made the extremely difficult decision to close its doors. The short explanation is that adverse socio-economic conditions that began in 2020, the year we opened, have led us to make a pragmatic decision that is the best for moving forward. For nearly 4 years we've fought against the persistent unfavorable challenges within the beer industry to keep the doors open, but with limited options available to us, the financial burden has proven to be too great. We want to sincerely thank everyone, near and far, who supported us. We also want to thank the amazing group of regulars who showed up in the taproom week in and week out. We're really going to miss you guys. We shared good times and good beer and forged great relationships that we will cherish forever.

We'll close doors permanently on August 6th. We will be OPEN for normal hours on August 1st - 4th and we will be OPEN for a final few days on August 5th and 6th, from 2PM to 9PM. For the remainder of our time open, we're pouring $6 full pours for everything on tap! We sincerely hope you'll swing by the taproom to buy some beer and wish Huston and Tom a fond farewell. Thank you everyone!

A production sneak peek:

This is a hop port. Located at the top of the fermenter, it is used to add dry hops, purees and other treatments to beers. CO2 is pushed through the blow off arm and over the top of the beer inside of the fermenter. The CO2 then exits through the spray ball arm, creating a blanket of carbon dioxide over the beer. This is an important step as it allows you to open the hop port for without introducing oxygen into the fermenter.

We are open until 7pm. We have Mariokart on the projector and the Olympics on the TV. Swing by for a couple of pints.

Saturday August 3rd we host the OneBlood Big Red Bus for another blood drive! This time donors get a $20 eGift card, a One Blood Tote Bag and a coupon for a FREE PINT OF BEER from Bastet Brewing ! We love supporting our community by promoting programs like this so we hope you'll swing by the taproom to participate. Blood collections during the summer months are a significant challenge as high schools are closed (did you know HS students are the largest donating population?), many regular donors are away on vacation, and/or the weather is often working against us, so we need all the support you can spare this time of the year! Cheers!

This semi-sweet cider was brewed and conditioned on pomegranate and boysenberry. This combination brings tart and tangy nuances and also adds some nice red hues to this refreshing beverage. Swing by the taproom for a pint or two! Cheers!

NEW BEER ON TAP!
Style: Sour Ale | ABV: 4.3%
Aptly named after our resident greeter, Baloo, this blue-green sour is and explosion of tart, tangy raspberries and is reminiscent of a blue snow cone. It's most definitely a cool blue refreshment for these scorching Florida summer months. Thanks for being cool, Baloo! Cheers!

Name: Ned The Wino | Style: Barleywine | ABV: 12.0%
This beer is an extraordinary roller coaster of flavors with a huge sweet, malty aroma and taste with a well balanced bitterness to compliment its maltiness. Its notes of caramel, toffee and biscuit wash over the palate along with some nice alcohol warming. This one really gets better as it warms up. Available in a 5oz or 10oz pour, this malty mammoth is a real treat. Cheers!

Todays beer highlight is our Belgian Tripel, Khopesh. Named after the ancient Egyptian sickle-shaped sword that dates back to at least 2500 BC, several pharaohs have been depicted with a khopesh and a few examples have been found in royal tombs, such as those found with Tutankhamun.

Name: Khopesh | ABV: 8.0%
This beer starts with soft grainy notes that round out to the delightful fruity esters produced by the Belgian yeast used in fermentation. It finishes with peppery, spicy notes that come from both the Saaz hops and the Belgian yeast. This one is super drinkable despite it’s big ABV.

Beer Style Highlight: Red Ale

The red ale, sometimes called an Irish Red, is a balanced beer style that uses a moderate amount of roasted malts in the recipe which give the beer the amber color for which it is named. This beer style has an approachable hop bitterness and can be brewed as either a lager or an ale and can often have a slight, candy-like caramel malt sweetness. Bastet Brewing makes a red ale we call Deshret. Named after the red crown of lower Egypt, Deshret is malty with a clean dry finish and the perfect hop profile to balance its malt profile. This is the perfect choice for beer drinkers that like a nice showing of malt flavors in their brew. We hope you'll swing by for a pint! Cheers!

A production sneak peek:

This is our caustic bin. If you haven't learned anything from our production sneak peeks, I'm sure you've learned the importance of having clean brewing equipment. That is where the caustic bin comes in. The bin is filled with diluted caustic and parts like tri-clamps, gaskets, valves, buckets, hoses and other daily used equipment are soaked in it. Once removed the parts are thoroughly scrubbed and rinsed, then hung and dried to ensure that they are clean for their next use.

Today we highlight our dry Irish Stout Giant Yep.

GIANT Yep NITRO
Style: Dry Irish Stout | ABV: 4.4%
This brew is full of dark, roasty coffee notes but finishes completely bone dry. This sessionable, low ABV, lighter bodied stout whose name happens to be an anagram for Egyptian is poured with Nitrogen for a creamy smooth head. Look no further for your not-sweet fix for delicious dark malts.
Cheers!
